I think Helix has a better chance than Goliath does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it won't be too much of an issue as long as there isn't one on each side of the track, because one will point away from the queues and the rest of Action Zone and the other one would point directly at the entrance and Action Zone.

^^Im with ya on that one! Im going to go ride Goliath at some point during the summer. It looks like a great ride, but far to short. Banshee is BY FAR the best looking new ride of 2014. It has everything you could ever want in an invert, speed, size, giant loop that seem like they pull incredible Gs, and an unbelievable theme!

For the pillar you are talking about thats behind the queue entrance arch, Don did say that the on-ride photo camera was going between the Dive Loop and the loop surrounding the lift hill. I wonder if this pillar will house the camera. Also, i wonder if they will have to use two cameras as they do on other inverts.

That is probably where the lockers will be located

I absolutely love the attention to detail on this project! Even the pedestal that the sign is gonna sit on has the theme added to it! Kings Island, you've truly outdone yourself! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The absolute worse inverts to try and fit in for me are Intamins Inverted Impulse coasters. I still manage to squeeze in though. Every other invert i fit perfectly in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A half an hour before the scheduled opening for the general public. I.e. If the park opens at 10, ERT is 9:30. If it opens at 12, ERT is at 11:30. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great article! I am a broadcast communications major so all i do is write news stories and i gotta say, thats a really well put together article. You did a great job of using simple terminology for the people out there that are not coaster enthusiasts, and even if you had to use a coaster term, you explained it in a simple manner. Great gob! If you continue to write articles about the world of amusement, id love to read them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Side note, did anyone else get the Banshee Media Day email? EDIT: Also Don has stated that the on-ride photo location will be at the bottom of the dive loop between the loop surrounding the lift hill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

it seems as if with three train operation, they dispatch a train from the station when the previous train is in between the batwing and the outside loop.

Canada's Wonderland/Darien Lake Trip
Gplez90 replied to homestar92's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I visited Canada's Wonderland (on a Saturday and Sunday), and one of the locals who visits the park about as much as i visit Cedar Point or Kings Island said pretty much every weekday there is dead. EDIT: By my observation, the park does not close the rides in very heavy rain. I love riding coaster in the rain and i was able to repeatedly ride Leviathan and Behemoth in heavy rain without them closing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
i would've thought it would be more towards the center of that planter.

^^To increase rider capacity by minimizing the time riders are placing articles in bins and searching for their articles in the bins. Also, imo, a way to earn some small pocket change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He may have had a bloody ride, but at least his restraint never malfunctioned! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not see why Diamondback would need seat-belts. To my knowledge, B&M's HyperCoaster restraints have a perfect safety record, dating back to their first HyperCoaster, Apollo's Chariot in 1999. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe Banshee's trim will be the magnetic ones like on Diamonbacks and Leviathan. The trims on Diamondback are skidsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Its like with skid trims, you can just hear them sucking the life out of a coaster lol.
-
Are they magnetic trims (like on Leviathan) or skid trims?

^^^ Beat me to it! EDIT: I love the attention to detail!! The tombstones, the lighting, even the gate has that gothic feel! Btw, it looks like their in-house tv program will take affect this year judging by those TV's in the background.

Also, fencing is going up to separate the final brake run from the queue

Looks like she's got all three trains showing off today! EDIT: Three cheers for the three Banshee trains! Hip Hip, HOORAY!

Also, i believe that Drop Tower still holds the record for Worlds Tallest Gyro Drop Tower (not longest drop). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
