These sexual predators are EVERYWHERE. We need not to be worried about the ones who are getting caught, but the hundreds of thousand that are still out there. Disney just happens to be one of the hottest tourist destinations in the country/world, but what about the predators in schools? Churches? Doctors? Nurses? Even law enforcement?! And as technology advances and new social smartphone apps surface along with social media, it's only getting easier for predators to seek out who they are looking for. ^^^ 100% agree! My top 50 steel roller coasters is not going to be based off of the GTA Top 50. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dive coasters are just so..... Ehhhhh. After the first drop theyre basically over. If it were a dive coaster, if like to see one with at least 3 inversions and maybe even a second pause drop with a more intense ending. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^^ while im sick of hearing about it too, i wouldnt say he betrayed Cleveland. The man wanted to WIN so he did what he thought was best for him and it paid off. He got two rings and was in the finals 4 years in a row. My opinion on Cedar Points offer is that it kinda makes my skin crawl. I like LeBron, but naming a ride after him just to get him to return to a city that the ride/park is not even located in is far beyond ridiculous.

Ninja at SFMM Accident

In true Six Flags fashion, they'll probably take extra precautionary measures and cut down every single tree in all of their parks..... -
Ninja at SFMM Accident
Gplez90 replied to Nick_Plummer's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Depends on how suddenly the train came to a stop. A sudden stop at speeds as low as 20mph can cause injuries more serious than you think. Also, you may not see blood or anything, but think about possible neck or back injuries. These types of injuries can lead to a domino effect if not treated and rehabbed correctly. Being a former college athlete, i have all sorts of problems with my back, hips, and most of all, my knees that go all the back to injuries i had in high school. -

Totally agree. This information was totally unnecessary in this article. Media outlets today make me sick. They always find a way to twist a story or take words out of context. As a coaster enthusiast, they way they cover ride incidents makes me wanna vomit. It's already bad enough that people were injured, now you wanna twist the story to try to get people to feel that roller coasters are unsafe? -

If it hit a tree, i smell a big lawsuit coming in the direction of Magic Mountain. -
Terrible news for the amusement industry today. Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain reportedly hit a tree and the first car seems to have derailed. Here is the story from the LA Times.

Hey, at least Cedar Fair actually gets rid of the parking lot under their "parking lot" coasters. Scream! at SF Magic Mountain is literally plopped right on the parking lot and fenced off from the rest of the lot. They couldnt even get rid of the freakin lines! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was going to post it earlier but ill leave it to you! The layout looks like a bit of a longer version of Leviathan but with a few more twists and turns. Looks like its gonna be a good one!

Being a black man, i hate hearing the "N" word thrown out repetitively by other black folks while in the park. That REALLY bothers me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If first generation inverts received a retrofit, wouldn't they almost have to redo a lot of the electrical components in the station? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Definitely Goliath at Six Flags New England. I chipped a tooth on that thing! Its probably the top 5 roughest coasters I've been on. The drop facing down is great, but after that, the ride is totally unbearable. EDIT: Not to mention, the ride sounds like a F-16! The ride ops in the station have to wear ear muffs to deal with the sound all day! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

People who walk very lethargically in the MIDDLE of the walkways, not to mention theres a group of 6 of them and they walk shoulder to shoulder. People who have no idea how a seal belt works when the train returns to the station, and take 2 minutes to unbuckle their seat belt. People who dont know how the exit gate works. People who scream at the top of their lungs as if they are being stabbed when the train is leaving the station. People who try to tell me "someone died on this ride". I went to Dorney Park on crutches........ it SUCKED! But i loved their rides!
-
Id have to say Kings Dominion on this one. I visited for the first time last year, and the park is beautifully laid out and landscaped. They also have an excellent selection of coasters. Dominator being near and dear to my heart was my first and favorite floorless coaster when it was Batman Knight Flight here in Ohio, and it still runs like a dream! I305 is just unbelievable! Not to mention Volcano. They also have a great selection of flat rides along with a large new Planet Snoopy area. I would say Canada's Wonderland, but the only ride that sticks out to me is Leviathan. Imho, i think Diamondback is much better than Behemoth. It's still a great ride, i just think Diamondback is laid out much better, and gives a much better night ride. Besides those two, Kings Island and Cedar Point, the only other Cedar Fair park i have been to is Dorney Park, which is an excellent park for its location, but not the best in the chain. They make excellent use of the terrain there, and they have a great line up of rides. Hydra is by far the most unique floorless coaster ive ridden. It doesnt have your traditional B&M Floorless coaster layout. Im visiting Knotts next month, and have been told while its a smaller park, its still a very unique park. Six Flags New England's Cyclone Closing
Gplez90 replied to TheBEASTunchained's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
So let me get this straight. If Sic Flags owned Cedar Point, Blue Streak would be long gone? Same with Kings Island and The Racer? How do you just continuously get rid of classic coasters. I loved Cyclone! It was actually one of my favorite wooden coasters! EDIT: Has anyone else been annoyed by Six Flags rebranding their rides? Running them backwards, closing them and giving them an overhaul, repainting them and adding special effects that dont even work half of the time in hopes that if will magically create a totally new ride experience? Bizarro at New England might as well still be Superman: Ride of Steel. The audio doesnt work 75% of the time, there is no more fog in any of the tunnels, the fire has been long gone, and the lights arent on half of the time. Same with Bizarro at Great Adventure. I usually always feel my feet tingling when the ride ends. I think if that final helix were any longer, my feet would explode!
