if only ki's last weekend was this one coming up. i wouldve waited to go then and see the lift loop in person. when i went friday i was so mesmerized by her first loop couldnt keep my eyes off her.

like i said in my other post on the activity under fd thread, i rode it twice this saturday and there was no theme at all, its like the ride didnt even have a name, its just there and gray. love the ride but really hope the re-theme is really happening or a major spruce up.

Firehawk at night. it was the last coaster at ki i hadnt been on at night. prior to that i got beast 3x at night then Diamondback 2x and then Firehawk.

side note: didnt realize the seat belts on flight deck were removed... same with backlot until i actually rode them.

just came back from ki's final 2 haunt nights and can say that with "flight deck" its like it has no name anymore along with theming. i love the ride so really hope for a re theme or spruce up.

this is gonna look great in person. im going Friday and Saturday so I get to see it twice... also love that first pic where she's (Banshee) partially hidden in the trees. nice pics kat.

sadly that wont happen. they don't work on weekends... that I know of. if so I would say the lift loop would've been done by now too.

they only have two supports to put up for the dive loop before its all track. really hoping for the lift loop to be done by next Saturday but it'll be awesome to see what they have done. side note: I cant help but love how ki's coasters fit nice and snug beside each other without over lapping and going into another ride's space. I know some parks have no land to do that but my darn ocd bugs me about it. example: behemoth and backlot at wonderland, shambhala and dragon kahn at port adventura.

thanks for answering I was just curious. the only way I knew it used to be red is I have a pamphlet from early 2000's and they used a pic of it when it was top gun and the track was red, but I didn't know what year it debuted.

join the club. and don't forget the 30 mile hike to white water canyon too. it would be cool if they extended flight deck more, it has plenty of speed at the end, but it will never happen :'(

the chain lift loop is going to be pretty tall. the arch of the loop comes to the center of the second lift support above the catwalk but under the track, look at the birdseye animation vid and pause it when the loop comes into a good view and then from the top of the loop trace your finger to the right and it comes to the second support lift. tried to make it sound simple...

ah well then that does look fun and would make a great addition to ki. I would say why would they put a giant wheel when there's the Eiffel Tower but so many parks have observation towers and ferris wheels together. Cedar Point being and example until the tower came down for gk. anyway, going back to the s and s sky swing... another place it could go is between racer and Flight of Fear. its a nice plot of land and maybe some flats in that area will make x base an official section.

when was flight deck painted from red to gray? first time I rode it, it was 2002 and I remember it was gray.

did they get that support up? I couldn't see in the web cam.

is that the one at coney island in new York or a different one? not sarcasm, im serious, because if it is the one in coney island I know some of the cars are on rails and they rock really violently back and forth which is what the crypt was a couple years before it closed. it felt like it was an accident when it flipped twice. and to clarify im saying that riding the crypt from 2009-close felt like being in the car of a ferris wheel with a belligerent passenger dangerously rocking it. that's my opinion, im not giving hate, I loved the crypt more so as tomb raider but the ride cycle was terrible after 2008. and yes I know why it was toned down because the ride was tearing itself apart if anyone wanted to bring that up. anyway back on topic, ki needs more flats, yes no?

actually everyone is forgetting ki did have a large ferris wheel. it was in a building in the dark by The Beast right? oh crypt... you were so good from 2002-2008.

yes, it bothers you too! and on another note there's really a lot of supports on this ride more so than what ive seen on beemers. cant wait for the first time I see it in person and how Action Zone will look different.

exactly, but that's one of the reasons The Bat was a maintenance nightmare. the cars swung so much the track wasn't banked enough to handle the stress. I would've loved to been able to ride The Bat it looked amazing

I know but it would be nice. ki really does need flat rides though. ive been looking up wonderland for a few years and am amazed at the flats they have and wish ki had that amount. and years and years of playing roller coaster tycoon doesn't help either with where they could be placed lol.

it would be cool if flight deck was rethemed. I love this ride except for the queue that's longer than the ride itself and the bland gray color scheme. if actually rethemed to The Bat, paint the track black, supports brown to make it blend with the trees so it looks like a bat flying around, and of course bring back The Bat like cars. im only 20 but I saw footage of The Bat and it looked amazing. if only arrow had learned to bank the track to put less stress on the train it may had still been alive today.

speaking of kennywood, it would be better if ki replaced Delirium with what black widow is at kennywood. black widow goes higher and lasts longer but then again Delirium spins more. flat rides i'd like ki to get would be a huss enterprise (I love those things but it seems like everyone is scrapping them), a sky swing like others here have said, the upside down spaceship canadas wonderland got rid of (was it scrapped or sold?), a more reliable top spin, and tilt a whirl (omg my absolute favorite flat ride ever). put the enterprise and upside down ship on the land between racer and Flight of Fear, whoever here said to level the crypt building and put the sky swing there is a good idea, tilt a whirl near the dino entrance, and the top spin squeeze it in Action Zone or the space beside Diamondback and international theatre. sorry for the essay
