Did it really not have that high of a return on investment? I thought it broke attendance records for the park.

I can understand why some don't enjoy Millennium Force, but preferring Mean Streak to it? It has just as much nothingness as Millennium with a side of mild concussions.

I disagree. It is missing something. A coaster that intimidates people just from sheer height. Call it a giga if you want. Diamondback is thrilling, but not all out scary like a lot of the new coasters out there. That extra hundred and something feet makes a huge difference. Diamondback is probably intimidating to a lot of people. 230' might not be nerve-wracking to you, but to someone else, even 148' could be frightening. I think a giga would push Kings Island's lineup over-the-top in terms of quality, but I still stand by my comment. The park has one of the most well-rounded coaster collections in the country.

I think Kings Island has one of the most well-rounded if not the most well-rounded coaster lineup in the country. The park doesn't seem to be "missing" anything. But I think something that could add a little more variety to the park is a spinning coaster. [EDIT] Inb4 someone says Surf Dog.

There is a small portion of the plans that are labeled work area. The rest could be faked to throw enthusiasts off. Rumors were those weren't the real plans to start with if I remember correctly. With all due respect, this has to be about the silliest, most inane thing I've read here this week. Parks comply with the law. They don't do silly things that would not be legal to mess with "enthusiasts." Even when teasing a new attraction, so called "enthusiasts" are not a major factor. Attitudes like that expressed above are why so many in the industry find enthusiasts a bother that must be dealt with, not an asset. Exactly. We're so much less important than we think we are. We make up a such a miniscule percentage of the park's yearly attendance that it wouldn't matter if we discovered the plans. We're not their main market. We're nothing but a vocal (often times, TOO vocal) minority.

I believe they said they wouldn't be doing any modifications using topper track, not stopping production of topper-tracked coasters.

Methinks you're only judging parks by coaster collections, not the variety of attractions they offer and how well-rounded they are.
