  1. ^^ Interestingly enough, the "thrill rides" section of the website still shows Beast and Firehawk as the Plus attractions and Banshee isn't labelled as a Plus. Also, on another note, CW seems to have departed from CF's "2 attraction on Plus" model... As of right now CW has "3" attractions on Plus. Leviathan and Behemoth as well as WMG during July and August in the mornings.
  2. Yea, I hate waiting in a line to get in a wave pool. They probably limit the number of guests in the water at a time because it is dark out which makes it hard for lifeguards to see someone drowning... There were lights installed in the wave pool, but still I agree the line was an OK idea but hopefully they can readjust for this year! There is a big difference between natural and artificial light sources. Artificial lighting creates multiple shadows and distortions that can make it difficult to see what is going on. Also some people don't move too much when watching the movie so it is probably hard to tell if they are just watching the movie or are unconscious... They only use Tidal Wave Bay for Dive-In movies.

  4. ^ I wonder how ride ops feel about that... I know its their job but still. I would hate if people continually wait until the end to ride. They probably want to go home before 5 am...
  5. Overall the new map looks good but I have some small qualms with the following items: Delirium swinging toward Banshee just creates a giant tangled mess. They should've made Delirium swing the other way to prevent the congestion and also to allow for more space to accurately depict Banshee. The dive loop is crammed in there and the vertical loop doesn't go around the lift... Also, I think The Bat's track layout is wrong near the turnaround next to Banshee. Finally, the "new" path that connects the "new" Splash River entrance to older paths isn't the same color as the surrounding paths which makes it look like a separate path. EDIT: Most of The Bat's layout seems off... not just the turnaround. (Nice catch rcwizard13)
  6. ^ The batwing consists of a dive loop followed by an Immelmann.
  7. ^ I think I remember seeing a Youtube video with the ride ops pulling a seagull out from the front row seats...
  8. ^ The seagulls did it. Its' all their fault...
  9. ^^^ It wasn't posted for a reason...
  10. You shouldn't have any problems with Banshee being closed. Banshee isn't a new design or prototype; inverts have long been B&M's strong point. CF specifically chose B&M to design their coasters as of late because of B&M's reliability and safety. That being said, if Banshee were to experience down time (which I really don't see happening save for bad weather) you can sure bet that CF will flip their lid!
  11. ^ The park can't win... They say no, he goes to the media. They say yes and he dies, the family goes to a lawyer. Bad PR and a lawsuit - neither of which are beneficial to running a successful business.
  12. The amount of hints and breadcrumbs left on this site... For an enthusiast who has combed through every page of KI's website on a rainy day this is quite simple.
  13. It probably will be Banshee and Firehawk on Plus for 2014. Firehawk because its capacity is terrible and Banshee because it is new (*sparkle *sparkle). I can see them moving Banshee down to regular for 2015 and placing Flight of Fear on Plus (On a side note - forget renaming AZ, rename X-Base to "Low Capacity Central"). CP had Gatekeeper on its Plus rotation for 2013 but for 2014 Plus includes Maverick and TTD.
  14. Has there been any mention, by the park, of test seats for Banshee?
  15. ^ I think he is referring to the horseshoe turn.
  16. Well if that is what they are waiting for then I'd assume that the first train tested would be the green one.
  17. ^ The footings would be as currently placed but the base would be elevated up on the footings leaving room to walk underneath while dodging the footings. This would probably require larger footings then the ones currently placed so I don't think it will happen.
  18. ^ Just noticed the same thing... Taken from DavidW's gallery http://www.davidwaderich.com/hotlink/KI/ EDIT: Thanks for the reminder thedevariouseffect
  19. Wow Hurricane Bay looks like it will be amazing! The amount and variety of slides is just astounding. SC had better step it up a notch...
  20. Gotta protect that candy .
  21. I'm pretty sure that Clermont Steel Fabricators are B&M's exclusive track manufacturer.
  22. That does seem rather slow for a slingshot type ride. KI's SlingShot attraction has a top speed close to 100 mph, according to the park's website.
  23. Odd. This camera showed a close up view of Tidal Wave Bay just the other day... Wonder why they changed it?
  24. Yeah you tell 'em! They have to do this, that and the other thing before they start testing.
  25. For sure. That concrete is hot, hot, hot.
