I think KI will have at least a few rides open.. Also the official Winterfest 2017 thread --->

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
rhyano replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Coming Attractions
I'll take a possibility of three since I can't decide which I would want more: Maverick, Fury 325, or Cobra's Curse (Since these rides would fit in very well with KI's current line up) -
I can't wait to ride Vortex on opening day! Even if my group doesn't like it, I'll make them ride it!
-
If we are going modern flats, I'd like to see an S&S Screamin' swing, only problem with that are of course being Skyhawk and all the issues they have with that... so that puts that one out along with my dream Intamin Terra coaster (Taron).
-
I hope they can use the old Flight Commander area (at least that's what I think you mean by Flight Deck) but that's where they were going to put Drop Tower originally, so there has to be some reason they didn't put it there, I think Terpy said something about site issues?

I don't think an RMC woodie would be coming to Kings Island in the future as of now considering we are just now getting Mystic Timbers, as for other Cedar Fair parks, California's Great America is semi confirmed to be getting an RMC coaster in the future (Cedar Fair talked about adding another thrilling wooden coaster at the rezoning meeting), Carowinds is an interesting situation but I think that will stay a wooden coaster and not get RMC'd.

The shed looks great! I wonder how they will theme it up...

Looks like great news for Hurler, though I'm not sure if it'll get me to go to KD with Storm Chaser only a few hours away. (I'm assuming Hurler will be very similar to Storm Chaser).
-
They would be the ones to spoil it... Ryan, throwing shade at TPR..

Keep in mind, IMAscore is composing a soundtrack for an attraction opening this year in the US, seems like it's either Mystic Timbers or InvadR. http://www.cupcakesandcoasters.com/2017/03/cupcakes-and-coasters-meets-imascore.html (the last question of the future of IMAscore)

I guess I'm following everyone saying great story! I'll probably get around to doing something like this, I still have my first on ride photo on Woodstock Express back in 2006 when the area had just became known as Nickelodeon Universe. (I was 6 at the time).
-
I'm going to try to get to the park early during preview night (only night I have time to attend for Mystic as of now) because of the potential spoilers of park guests walking down the midway talking about the shed.
-
so you're saying we can't speculate on what that 25-30 million dollar coaster could be? Not trying to start a fight over the forums but..
-
Exciting stuff for Kentucky Kingdom ahead as it sounds! I'm hoping that the 25-30 million dollar coaster isn't a B&M hyper, I feel like they don't really need it and it would be a pointless addition. (Edit: Not really a pointless addition, but Lightning Run does the same thing as a B&M hyper)

Interview with GCI Designer Adam House
rhyano replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Great interview! Thank you for getting an interview with Adam House! -
I know it's unlikely, but I really want a coaster like The Smiler in X-Base.

Knott's Berry Farm- Boomerang closing!
rhyano replied to rhyano's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
For the spot Boomerang is in, I would like to see a very compact coaster there... I want to see a coaster like the Smiler and snag the inversion record, either that or they can do it with a Mack Big Dipper (Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland) -
One of my old phones was stolen from Diamondback's bins, I never put my phone or anything important in them anymore as lesson learned.

"Endangered Rides"
rhyano replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
S&S Sky Swats have been discontinued -
Wow everything look great! Glad to see KI putting in themeing for the ride, and congratulations to the park on the first test run, I think they have themselves a winner!
-
It's a four because it's a more family thrill ride compared to Diamondback or Banshee, if it were a drop track we would have seen different types of supports in the shed.
-
I really hope Diamondback's bins are gone this year, sure I'd be nice if they were free, but I use the rule of "whatever can't fit into cargo shorts I'm not bringing"

I would personally like to see Coney Mall receive some classic flats like what Dorney or some of the other smaller Cedar Fair parks are getting, I think it would also be cool to see a Skyroller on the old Flight Commander site, but if I understand correctly there are site issues with that area (where they were originally going to put Drop Tower.)
