  1. I have. At Cedar Point. Funny, I've been going to PKI since nearly its' inception and I have never had any PKI employees(and, I'm not talking just ride ops) talk to me or ask me how I liked such and such attraction or interracted in any way. However, at Cedar Point, I have talked to several employees and had them ask me how my day has gone or did I enjoy such and such ride. And, I have only been going there since 2000. I'm not saying that PKI's employees do not do this at all, but it has been my experience that they don't. And, after all of these years going there, you would think that at least one time this would have happened.

Fryler, that is very interesting. And, at the same time, sad. No coaster should go unfinished. Also, is the park where the unfinished coaster is located even open? And, yes, jesusfreak, it is a eurofighter. Here's the link to their web site....gerstlauer if you want to see more pics. Click on new projects for more pics. Or, you can see a lot more pics at rcdb here...typhoon
  3. I like The Vortex as well. I think it has a great first drop. But, The Beast will always be my fav.
  4. Where's this sign located? I've never seen any such sign at PKI that says which rides will be closed. So, which ride at CP was definitely closed when you entered the gate that you didn't know about? From what you have said, it sounds like some ride was closed that CP wouldn't tell you about. I guess what I am asking is what exactly was the response when you asked them what rides were closed? Did they ignore you? Did they tell you nothing was closed? Just curious.
  5. I hear Tuesday through Thursday are good days to go. That's when I go.
  6. I think it is a bad move for them. Why not ban the employees from being in employee areas when not on the clock?

I think a B&M Dive machine would be too wide. I think this coaster from Gerstlauer would make more sense. The design is more compact than B&M.
  8. I've never been treated badly by any employees, CP or PKI. Usually, they have been pretty friendly. And, talkative. The year TTD opened, I bought a Dragster polo shirt and then got in line for Iron Dragon. I changed into my Dragster polo and one of the Dragon ride ops noticed my shirt and asked how I liked the ride. And, he chatted a little after that. It's those kinds of things that make a difference to me. The little things. Tanner, first you said TTD wishes it had the uptime of TR:TR. Then, a couple of posts later, you admitted TR is down just as much. Either it's up time is more than Dragster or it's not. Which is it?
  9. Who designed the trains for Son of Beast? They are terrible. I usually sit somewhere in the middle of the train in a seat that isn't directly over a wheel. The trains constantly shuffle back and forth.
  10. Usually, parks only hand out notices about rides being down when they know for sure that they will be down most or all of the day.
  11. Not sure if they are connected, but I would like to see the Zodiac return.

I think that the Addams Family coaster is kinda compact. Not really sure though. Fryler, where is this unfinished Intamin coaster?
  13. You hit it right on the head, fryler87. Sorry to disappoint, but Dragster is not coming down. Yeah, praise SOB, the tallest, fastest, only looping and I need a cat scan afterwards coaster. Don't get me wrong, I like SOB, but sometimes I wonder if I don't need my head examined afterwards.
  14. Right, TTD is down just as much as Tomb Raider. And, TR has has one more operating season under its' belt. But, you did say that Dragster wishes it had the uptime that TR has. Then, you retracted. So, which is it?
  15. I think they should have been offered a season pass or at least tickets to return on another day. I think most of them refused to go to the hospital with the exception of two. Then, the ones that didn't go turned around and complained that CP did not do enough to attend to their injuries. Go fig...
  16. Dragster's up. Barring any other major problems, it will be up the remainder of the season. It's still kinda sketchy as to whether or not you'll get to ride.
  17. I think Koaster King had it correct. Tallest, operating coaster in the midwest. I really doubt Dragster will close for the season. The Ohio state inspectors aren't even investigating.
  18. Way to welcome the new people, Tanner. Looks to me to be about a dozen or so from what I could gather from the web site. I'm sure the person thought that someone might know off the top of their head.
  19. The search button wouldn't help. If anything, there would only be a list from last year seeing as how this is new for 2004.
  20. Dang, that same thing happened when Nathan and I went on it. It was supposed to do two flips at the end, but it ended up rocking back and forth, then we had to get off. How often does that ride need to get fixed anyway?! Apparently, as much as Top Thrill Dragster.
  21. I'm with Punk.
  22. Top 10 Amusement Parks How is it that MSN has dissed PKI like this? Surely, PKI should be in place of Carowinds. And, Disney World not even mentioned? Oh, I see. It was done by citysearch editors. Probably not accurate at all.
  23. Good point, Boddah.
  24. Yeah, it sucks that S&S bought Arrow and got it out of bankruptcy. Without S&S, there would be no Arrow.
