It's worth going for the front if the wait isn't too long.

Guess it's taking more than an hour Amazing ride, took me 20 min at most to ride it. I would definitely wait an hour for it but hope I never have to. Hope to make it back sometime this year.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees

I wonder if they could just take some advantage of a revision process. At any rate Oldschool75 says it is correct now returning some of its credibility. I personally wouldn't want Tornado as it seems a bit bland to me, not quite sure why. -

LOL, you have the train going right through the coaster's station. Might cause it to derail. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm assuming that particular section is a bridge for the train to go under. I will play with it more, but I have my 21 month old to attend to for the evening. I won't be back on to photoshop until he goes to sleep. This is fun, I appreciate all the suggestions. I'll be reading from my phone for the next five hours. OH...I can't wait to play with this again. haha. There is a gift shop under Banshee's station, I'm sure this station/bridge whatever could be high enough for the train to go under. It could also be a brake shed that declines. I would say that the first two bends going over the tracks is more likely to be an issue. -

If the park map has a scale on it, you can use that. Assuming its either a true photo or architectural map. If its a rendition, who knows how they might have changed it. But thats the scale you have to use. You can't say that "most coasters are this wide" If one is 60 inches wide, and the other is 80 inches wide, thats a 25% margin of error. When you are talking coaster length, that could be 1000 feet off. Lay out the coaster on your map. Use the maps scale and measure the track length. That'll tell you what you need to know. You could use it for width as well, but I don't know if that matters. That argument applies to length as well. You can't just say "this coaster is this long", you can guess how long you think it will be and base it on that if you wish. However coaster length changes far more than width. Second I doubt the difference between coaster width would be so extreme. The point is that no one knows therefor you can not eliminate possibilities based on size alone. The map was just a section edited with a layover of the new blueprint and no scale was available. It was similar in fashion to the new blueprint and everything looked to be to a scale. -

You can't use the track width for scale. Use the track length. Lay it over a google or bing map with a scale on it. Measure the track length and compare it to the scale. The red one on Facebook is less than 2000 ft long and somehow does its turn around over top of WWC's turnaround. That is impractical. That whole path is impractical as there is no room between Diamondback and WWC there. Going over WWC there would require the scale increased so that it wouldn't fit by the train station. Going over Diamondback will almost certainly not happen. Going under Diamondback in that location is impossible at DB is either on the ground there or has a bunch of footers. I've not seen an "aha" location and scale yet. Even the one that I think fits best has its problems. But the coincidence of the shape around the station area is too much for me to ignore. I agree that one is too small, mine was longer. I would have to fiddle with it again but I remember it fitting pretty well. Scale can be done by any comparable dimension. Since we don't know the coasters length or width either is fair game. I figured the width of most wood coasters (considering GCI can have PTC trains and are designed for two by seating) would be similar. My own interpretation had zone 2 almost perfectly over the reservoir with the turnaround right next to Diamondbacks. I stated I found two that did not go through Diamondback as I agree that doesn't make sense to me. I'm not using Google/Bing maps but a park map (not the tourist kind) with a top down view. -

Those aren't the markers you read Kenban - I don't know but Prowler is just a little over 3,000. Using The Beast as a reference in a posted pic (since removed) here of a KI blueprint that would seem about right to me. I scaled it based on the track size (double without side supports on both the blueprint and The Beast) and it wouldn't go out past Diamondback's turnarounds in any configuration. fryjo - There are two other possible orientations/scales I've seen in this thread that would work without taking out RFYLCH or even touching Diamondback. The one where it does take out RFYLCH went through Diamondback. I originally came up with something similar to the red one that was on Facebook before seeing it. Edit: AintNutinElse2Do - I love it! but I kinda doubt it would be launched. If you can add the Train and terrain. -

That doesn't "have to be it" because we don't know how big it is yet. There are plenty of other pics out there of other orientations that would work as well. I think yours is too big (although that is what I would want) and uses the area between Picnic Grove and the WWC turntable that would be to congested. Keep an open mind, there is no single possibility. -

I agree, hope the straighter layout means more double downs or even triple downs. -

That looks like a feasible position to me. Fiddled in PS a bit and it looked like it would work fine with both tracks fitting under the rail bridge. Would run right next to the reservoir and turn around right by Diamondback. -

They also are following all the Six Flags parks, you know, their most direct competition. Of the 847 Twitter accounts they follow I would guess GCI is among them as well. -

For reference - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/prowler_aerial_126.png - from Theme Park Review Edit - Looks like it would start almost exactly like Prowler but the rest would be different. -

Scale is definitely the issue with placing this coaster. Also keep in mind that the blueprint is likely top down while Google Maps is not. -

Keep in mind this puts the possible station(s) rather far from any paths except for the Picnic Grove, although probably not so far that I would rule it out. It could also be moved over more where the funnel cake building used to be and still is in that pic. I think it would need to be positioned so that the tracks next to each other would go under the train bridge with this positioning splitting too early. -

It's definitely a good spot for a woodie. And welcome to the forums. Edit: noticed on the Facebook page someone else superimposed the layout on Google Maps and had basically the same thing I did. It's the one with the layout in red. -

Your pic is gone for me but I saved it and messed around a little myself. I think (compared to The Beast) your scale for this coaster is too large. I reduced it based on The Beast and was able to fit it within the train tracks with the two tracks running next to each other going over the reservoir, this puts zone 2 almost perfectly over the reservoir. Of course I'm not sure it this would interact with the terrain and WWC properly but it would turn around right by Diamondback (over WWC) this way. -

Around how much do GCI's cost? Don did mention 2017 as well. Not suggesting two coasters in a row (although that has happened in other parks past) but we could be getting two relatively large additions in a row. How much would a flat ride package likely cost compared to a small - medium woodie? Without scale we can't say how big this is but we could try fitting it in on Google Maps. Assuming it is going in by the train. -

Oh I just remembered the spiel I got on Maverick once, "Get ready for the wild west coaster that goes upside down not 3, not 4, not 5 but 2 times." The way she said it really added a lot too. -

"Enjoy your 45 minute train ride." Even more ridiculous is the relief you hear when they say they are kidding. -
It can be really inaccurate but there has been times where it hit the nail on the head. I wish it updated more often as that's what causes a lot of the inaccuracies.

It just went up a hill and around some curves around the trees before coming down the chute. The boat would bang around a little bit but is was a nice scenic ride and the drop was fun. -
Adventure Express closed a while ago, not long after I got to the park. Probably been down since 2 pm.

Just arrived and the season pass line stretches across the entire front entrance. I think it may be their last day for cheap passes through.
-
That must get really expensive. I've been to KI at least once or twice every week since they have been open. Half hour wait times is about the worse I've been in.
