  1. I'll be there
  2. People would also throw their garbage into the water. This stopped up the pumps and filters, so you had stagnant water, rotting garbage, and thousands of insects...not an entirely pleasant experience.
  3. I also remember a few days after, some guys were trying to make a profit from the woman's death, by selling t-shirts just off exit 24 that read "I rode Flight COmmander...and survived!" Sad stuff indeed.
  4. I was actually at the park on that day, and actually witnessed both events.
  5. Heh...I remember when it was only $2.
  6. when they first re-themed it to AZ they had one there.
  7. A reliable source tells me that DOT will be making its return this Saturday
  8. I just wanted to clarify a little bit about what's in the FoF drum. There is an entire KC train, and another car from a train (4 seats). There is also only a car frm the old FoF trains. There is a storage area with old pieces of theming, but I'm not entirely sure where it is. It has everything from the PT characters, going all the way back to the smurfs.
  9. Don't lie Ryan...you know you eat their burritos like tic-tacs. I think a Chipotle would be a great addition...and not only because I've gone a week and a half eating nothing but steak burritos. A lot of people don't leave the park to eat, because it's too much of a hassle. Why hike out to your car, fight what ever traffic there may be, drive almost a mile in either direction, then drive back, find a place to park, and hike all the way back into the park, when you can just pay a little...ok, a lot more...and eat in the park. I think a Chipotle would fit very nicely on international street. You have several restraunts that are themed to different countries, why not ad some mexican spice to it? Even if they did up the price a little bit...I wouldn't really mind paying $10, or $11 for a meal that's going to fill me up, and keep me full all day. Heck, I go to the Festhause, spend almost $20 on food, and I'm hungry an hour later. For those of you who have never eaten at a CHipotle...their Burritos weigh probably a good pound, to two pounds. All of their ingredients are made fresh. They also have tacos, burrito bowls, and quesadillas (sp?). Like Ryan said, all I need is a burrito and a drink, and I'm set for pretty much all day. I'm 6', and right around 170, and sometimes I have trouble eating a whole burrito.
  10. but think of the money we'd save on gas Ryan...
  11. keep it on topic guys...
  12. It is indeed Zephyr
  13. Got to the park right around 5, after fighting traffic, and the customary stop at Chipotle. When I got there, the park was dead...one of the ticket guys even joked that someone must have put up a sign saying the park was closed. I got my ticket (no HS ID required) and headed in. After meeting up with some friends, we headed over to The Vortex. Up until about 9:00 everything was a walk on...but even after that, most rides only had about a 15 minute wait. We worked out way around the park, hitting just about every ride. Things were good till we got off of Son of Beast, and I noticed I had lost my cell phone. It was a pretty normal visit to the park. We got in some great night rides on The Beast, and The Vortex. We rode SRR, and on the way past it, I gave orange #2 a good swift kick...sorry Eric, I had to do it. We caught the last train on FoF, and had them turn the lights on...that makes 2 rides this year with the lights on for me. You can see all kinds of cool stuff in the drum with them on. There's a King Cobra train, and a few extra cars, and an old FoF car with the OTSR. I also noticecd that they put the chairs back in Cyber Says...last time I was there, they had them all out, and a sign that said "please excuse our mess." Like I said, all in all it was a pretty normal trip to the park. Lines weren't too bad. Only bad part was losing my cell phone. Lines were about normal, and I got to ride FoF with the lights on, which is always a good time.
  14. so I crashed a pallet jack 7 or 8 times...a night...so what
  15. speaking from experience...planet hollywood food SUCKS! The only appeal of it, is the movie memorbilia...after you go once, the novelty wears off
  16. Trust me...there are plenty of people around here over 18 to hire...they wouldn't run out. It's also perfectly ok for them to say to minors, "hey, you're too young to operate a ride." Alot of places have age limits for certain departments...like when I worked at Best Buy...you had to be 18 to work in our department, because of some of the machinery.
  17. "if that number is a 6...then the car is yours...is it a 6?! NOOOO!!!"
  18. dont forget kicking the nickle around while waiting for The Beast, and me stopping it on it's side, and it just stayed balanced on its side heh..."hey Ryan...do me a favor...let Dan know how upset I am with him for making me ride this..." Me and Ryan also have the best on ride videos for slingshot...everyone else screams like crazy, or cusses...we just cary on conversations at 260 feet in the air...lol And of course...who can forget about Grumpy?
  19. dont forget Ryan taking the car I wanted, and me pushing him over the car, and almost onto the floor...
  20. Heh...so many stories...so little time... I remember one good one, when me and Ryan were on Face/Off in the very back seat (facing up on the lift hill) and he dared me to try and start my car from there (I had remote start). I somehow managed to get my hand in my pocket, and actually started my car from Face/Off...I know...it isn't very funny...but it is to us... Another good one, was when I dislocated my thumb on the way down Congo Falls, leaving it out of the socket to show the ride op, then snapping it back in, in front of a big group of girls.
  21. actually you can't join the military at 16...have to be 18, or 17 if your parents sign a concent form. Also, Europe does have drinking age limits...varies from country to country.
  22. Heh...I wish I could tell ya...but it might get her in trouble
  23. she said she was gonna...she better...lol
  24. another heartfelt thank you goes out to Tiffany, for 2 great rides on FoF...and remember Tiffany...REGISTER! You're still my personal hero!
