Eiffel Tower is bent

Featured Replies

Wasn't too sure on where to put this but Just for fun :P But yeah I really do not know what happened in this pic but it looks extremely concaved or bent. I'm pretty sure this might get a couple laughs.

I showed the pic to Kevin from the Entertainment Dpt and even he had to do a double take and turn around and look up the tower saying "how'd you get it to do that?"

i guess it was either camera (or tower johnny playing tricks :P ) or the fact the heat got to me so i was seeing things *shrug*

Edit: yea if it needs to be moved go ahead lol since like i said wasnt too sure :P

Omg something crazy must have been going on that day cause I took a picture of drop zone and heres what it looked like!

I more convinced into believing my pic of the Eiffel Tower turned out to be some sort of error or the lens probably since that is an actual pic taken from a camera phone and Kevin was standing next to me when I took it  and he thought it was really amusing lol there were a couple pics i took that day where they kind of came out weird looking too

No wonder Drop Zone is still closed. Heck, it looks like more than just a cable problem to me. And, I think you'd lose more than your feet on THAT drop!

You can achieve that image by manipulating your shutter, ccd, camera movement, and photoshop.

lol then thats what happened to mine minus photoshop. just a few mins prior taking that pic i had just dumped unclehenry and captian nemo after riding Firehawk and went up to kevin. the pic is still funny. tell ripley's believe it or not we got a bent Eiffel Tower in ohio :P

Maybe they are used or cheap cables like from the other post?

Yeah! I've had a giggle from every post I've read today!

"don't stick your arm out, it'll eat it!"

ROFLMAO!

You know just a little known trivia fact. The Eiffel Tower gets rotated 180 degrees every 4 years to compensate for the stress from the wind. It is a huge operation when its done but they manage to make it happen. From what I understand the process takes about a day and a half to prep, about a day for the move to take place, then about 2 days to make everything permanent for the next 4 years. The last time it was rotated was in the off season between 04 and 05 so the next time the process is performed should be between 08 and 09.

No, I think it only gets rotated 90 degrees. I believe the next move is going to be on the history channel show "Mega Movers".

That's amazing. You certainly do learn something new everyday.

I wondered why they closed Drop Zone. Wow, thats bizarre that it would get all bent in like that! I havent been to the park in quite sometime, but I heard it closed down. That's just really wild that a pole would get all messed up like that!

No its always 180° becasue the majority of winds move east and west. The winds to the north and south are so rare that they are negligable. It was a north and south wind that knocked over the old sign.
