Girl Falls From Ride At Six Flags

Well now that you mention it, being that they are similiar rides. I wonder if they will shut down the monster for inspection.

I was at the park today. The Monster was open at least in the afternoon.

this is interesting.... click the link to the story. there are several "banner" advertisements. maybe 5 different companies. One is for "Monster" .com and another is for an "accident" attorney.

how's that for coincidence.

That ride does not appear to be a standard Eyerly Monster ride. Incidentally, the Monster at KI is one of the few remaining rides that does not feature seat belts. The other attraction that stands out at the moment is Italian Job. What I found odd on my visit to Cedar Point back in June is that Iron Dragon and Troika at Cedar Point do NOT have seat belts, while both Top Gun and Shake Rattle and Roll had seat belts added this year.

Did they close the Monster at Kings Island

According to the article, the girl stood up on the ride.

I can't see a reason to close down similar rides at other parks.

Most likely because the girl's parents will sue because the op "wasnt doing his job" and try to push for negligence

^ Actually...

If the ride OP did not hit the E-Stop when he either saw the girl stand up or fall to the ground, I would have to believe that she would have more serious injuries.

The way those rides move, it would be difficult for a six year old to anticipate which way the ride was moving. She would have easily been whacked around like a rag doll.

It was something that a family MIGHT try. Not to mention that she stood up. I dont care how old a kid is, if he/she stands up on a ride, that kid might just be mentally challenged or just missing a few brain cells.

MD is an incredibly liberal venue when handling injuries.

There is no doubt that a claim will be made and there is absolutely no doubt that the park will negotiate and settle.

MD and CT are really two states in the North East that ya don't mess with that type of thing.

It doesn't look anything at all like Monster. But I can see how you could stand up and fall out... it doesn't look to have the "doors" on the cars like our Monster does. It looks to me like the bar comes up/down and that's the entrance.
