The Interpreter Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The existing Dark Knight at SFNE will be renamed Batman: The Ride, and each of the three parks will be getting a coaster like the one to be built at Great Adventure. The Dark Knight at SFGAd will go where Batman and Robin: The Chiller currently are in the process of being removed. http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/rid...ghtcoaster.aspx http://www.sixflags.com/greatAmerica/rides...ghtcoaster.aspx http://www.sixflags.com/newengland/rides/t...ghtcoaster.aspx Quote
DropZone99 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I was just about to post that... Six Flags Fiesta Texas is getting Goliath... sort of. Its a Batman The Ride clone only it's called Goliath.. 80 feet tall is huge! Quote
DropZone99 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Oh and two other SF parks are getting a Tony Hawks Big Spin. SFOT & SFDK. And Fahrenheit looks awesome! =] Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Is this a "indoor spinning mouse "coaster? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 More about the Chicago version (all three are reportedly virtually identical): http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=47054&src=3 http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/newssun...RICA_S1.article Quote
jzarley Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 It sounds pretty interesting...so what is it exactly? Some sort of cross between a dark ride and a Mack Mouse? $7M seems to be the magic number for SF next year... Sounds like they're getting a good bang for their buck, though. Shapiro is getting three coasters for what the old management used to pay for one. Quote
ragerunner Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Sound like a great attraction that will appeal to a wide group of people. Quote
cstrwomann Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Why is SFGADV getiing another floorless coaster when they have Medussa? Quote
westcoaster Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Sounds like kennywoods indoor coaster whats it called Exterminator??? or something: Wow cedar poing could put some coasters in like this. But 7mill sounds cheap for buildings and air coditioning??? Quote
KIBeast Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The Dark Knight is not floorless. The moved coaster being renamed Goliath will also have a new paint scheme. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Why is SFGADV getiing another floorless coaster when they have Medussa? Because when Six Flags ordered the coaster they didnt read the original posts. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Not to mention, what the heck is Medussa? Is that like The Best at Kings Island or Recer? Quote
Cory Butcher Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 You guys didn't hear about the new roller coaster Medussa coming to SFGADV? Oh my gosh, I can't believe that you two, of all people, wouldn't read the press release! HAHA Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Let me guess. It has a new element...double s curves? Quote
Vortex Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The Dark Knight is not floorless. The moved coaster being renamed Goliath will also have a new paint scheme. Goliath is the old Batman Coaster from Six Flags New Orleans. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Yep...and people thought only Cedar Fair moved rides? The old Six Flags ride rotation program lives again, under a new regime and with quite different circumstances. Quote
