neo8820
It seems several parks have announced their plans for next year. Has anyone heard anything about SFKK?
Dvo
who cares? I'm very surprised that Six Flags didn't drop KK to be honest. In my opinion KK is a very sub-par park. There are some decent rides, but for the most part it's just mediocre. If I'm going to drive that far, I'd rather just go to Holiday World. It's a nice park to go to when you can't drive 2+ hours away to KI. They are making some noticable improvments over the past few years and I believe are moving in a better direction than they were before the new CEO took over. The Interpreter
And Messrs Snyder and Shapiro were so impressed with the park's general manager and president that they have moved him to Six Flags Magic Mountain, where they hope, no doubt, he can work some magic on that park with a mountain of problems. The Interpreter
At the moment it is standing. More than that cannot be said.
Cory Butcher
you and your bad puns...standing? ick
The Interpreter
That one, I can assure you, was quite unintentional. But there was a message in there somewhere, for those that know how to interpret. Again, more than that cannot be said.

Yeah from the couple of times I talked to Jay he seemed like a great person.

However, scream scape is reporting a rumor that once the state releases the ride back to SFKK it will be torn down.
hausty1983
I wouldn't be surprised about that either it should be torn down oh well its crazy not to.
Mikewhy
I talked with Jay (GM at SFKK) about a year ago, and he revealed to me that it was looking like there would be some kind of change or addition made in the Northwest Territory area of the park in 2008. However, that was over a year ago, and plans often change. It seems like SFKK may not get anything in 2008, which is a shame. We did get Deluge last year at least. The park has improved so much lately and I am sorry that Jay is leaving. I hope the new person is HALF as good...

After my VERY sub-par experience at Holiday World I can assure you I would rather drive from cincy to SFKK rather than Holiday World. WooferBearATL
And enough of the "Who Care's Comments." I read the same type of sentiments in a post about Carrowinds and thought it was rude. It's just as rude in this situation. There are those out there that are fond of and care about many different parks. To belittle them is simply uncalled for. MrPKI
Cool, a SFKK topic! I was looking forward to hearing about a new addition next year as well, but it seems they won't be getting anything. Deluge was a huge hit this year and was a great decision on the park's behalf. But like Jay said, the Northwest Territory is definitely the place for the next makover. I'm just suprised and kind of dissapointed that they didn't put that in the 2008 calendar. Top Eliminator Dragsters has been blocked off for about 2 years now if I remember right, and they desperatly need to open that pathway back between Thunder Run and Twisted Twins, and if possible, do something to widen it (it was a very narrow pathway between the two coasters). I guess IMO, the park could really use some flats and/or other family attractions to round out that area of the park. All it has now is Mile High Falls, Twisted Twins, and the Zepplin ride (which no one seems to go on). But it is a very well-themed section of the park. It just needs to get up to date so as to attract some people back to it.
