How would you feel about KIC text alerts?

Featured Replies

As Kings Island Central continues to bring you the latest Kings Island news and information we are always looking for ways to keep you connected as well as informed. One idea has been to have text alert updates whenever Kings Island or KICentral has major news or information.

Couple of notes:

  • Your information, is CONFIDENTIAL and would only be used for the text updates.
  • Updates would only be when necessary. You would not get texts daily or even on a regular basis.
  • You can add and remove yourself from the text alert list whenever you want.

Let us know what you think.

I love KICentral... :)

I personally wouldn't add myself to the list, but it could be a good idea.

Ya I could see this happening, People could send pix messages and etc etc. I like the idea.

Only if it was MAJOR news and updates. That might be cool.

We could have multiple tiers:

1) Those who just want major updates.

2) Those who want KI news and KIC updates.

3) Those who want all updates, news, and info.

this could be cool, and people who vist the park, can send you a txt or a picture message^ and then u could send it to the rest of the forum within mins! sounds like a plan.

If it were FREE text... My phone doesn't have texting ability, so a FREE service would be cool! -Hauntguy

Will this texting thing work on a roatery phone? If it dosn't, then I am out of luck.

^ Too funny.

Remember the old TV shows like Dallas that had those phones? We would be screaming at the TV: "C'mon and dial faster, we wanna know who shot JR!"

Click-click-click-click

^Don't laugh too hard, I have two of them at home that still work. The only thing I am scared of with them is if I have to call 911.

Oh no a robber!!!!!

"Let's see, 9.......click,click,click,click,click,ckick,.....BANG....darn almost made it"

Well, there IS a text-to-voice feature, but isn't that a little much... I mean, if KIC existed before the days of text messaging I suppose we could have formed a phone tree...

:P

I have one of those back at my house in Cincinnati that I recovered from the Crosley Building, cleaned it up and it still works fine. The best part is its red too, like the phone Commishoner Gordon used to use to call Batman.

I can remember when the rotary phones were switching over. I can remember when we bought a touch tone phone. The line was still rotary, but the phone was touch tone. So, you could quickly dial a number, but you had to still listen to the clicking of the rotary dialing.

And, I voted for texting. I'll take all texts please, if this comes to be.

That would be cool, to get texts about news from KI, or KIC. Especially for us who have to work, and don't have access to KIC while at work.

I like the idea and it wouldnt be a problem since i am one of the few who have unlimited texting from Cingular/AT&T

It would actually be kinda interesting to see how often these texts would be sent out. It could also be used to keep people updated on what the top 5 topics of the week are, as well as news.
