December 20, 200718 yr And the vast majority of people that visit the parks and ride the various rides would not be able to tell you what kind of restraints any specific ride had in any given year. Ya'll have to remember, the majority of people that visit the parks are simply not the aficionados that visit these sites.
December 20, 200718 yr One thing to keep in mind about theming is that it can make or break more than just the ride itself or other attraction. When a typical park goer sees theming not kept up it does give a bad impression not only for the ride but for the park as well. If their not keeping up the theming what else are they not keeping up with? Just as if you went to a restaurant and the dining room wasn't kept up you'd wonder about the kitchen. It doesn't mean that the kitchen is jacked up and it doesn't mean that it's a bad restaurant. It will however create a negative effect and back in my marketing classes it was always said... that a guest that has a great experience will tell one person, but a guest that had a bad experience will tell ten people. For years I had a negative impression of SFOG due to a lack of upkeep throughout the park. It wasn't til my visit this year that I felt they had redeemed themselves, somewhat. Same with a particular fast food chain around here, nice thick burgers but one round of food poisoning and I don't plan on going back. I know there's differences in the situations but I think the basic principle is the same.
December 20, 200718 yr There is an old-saying in foodservice, "if you want to see what the place's kitchen looks like go check out the bathrooms". This doesn't always hold true, but in many cases it does.
December 20, 200718 yr ^I would highly doubt that you could tell how clean a restaurant kitchen is judging by their bathrooms. Do you really think the same people clean the bathrooms and kitchen? Trust me. It's not the same people. Usually, your cooks clean the kitchen and a bus boy or dishwasher cleans the bathrooms. Maybe a janitor.
December 20, 200718 yr I never said it always holds true. It just so happens that often if one area of your business is not the tidiest many other areas are not as well. Thats all it is saying, its not neccesarily a true statement, more like a philoshophy if you will.
December 21, 200718 yr If I were to follow that rule, I'd not be eating at Cedar Point, in particular . . .
January 5, 200818 yr I wonder if they're going to put Backlot stunt Track on the biilboard or some thing else like an advertisment?
January 15, 200818 yr Bounce. New article from the other day. http://www.middletownjournal.com/hp/conten...1708kisign.html Ride name changes are definitely happening. From the article I would venture that Face/Off is still in the decision making process as I'll be shocked if they name something differently otherwise. Thoughts?
January 15, 200818 yr Why not use Invertigo its the same ride as Face/Off and Cedar Fair already owns the name. The other names can already be guessed at with the other parks changing them.
January 15, 200818 yr IF the ride name must be changed, that would not be a sufficient change to satisfy the rights holder....
January 16, 200818 yr I wouldn't mind Invertigo and that makes the most sense to me. Just as long as they don't call it Head Spin.
