Browntggrr Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 http://videos.myrtlebeachonline.com/vmix_h...s/video/1603162 How embarrassing that he could not break the guitar on the first hit. Perhaps it is just me, but does the train look like it's going 65mph? It looks REALLY slow. Quote
jzarley Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Yeah, I agree...it does look slow. Although, I always think coasters look slow when you're watching them from a distance. I've always thought "Hulk" at IOA looks like ti's going 10 mph when you're watching it Quote
Dvo Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 That coaster looks pretty fun, but it seems like there's not much to it... loop, cobra roll, barrel roll, loop, helix. there's no camelbacks, and no speed sections. I guess I'm probably being overly critical, but it seems like there should be more to me. Quote
PKIVortex Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 The wheels need to break in, so it will be slow till that happens. If you watch the Firehawk testing video's its slow too. Quote
Hank Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 BORING, BORING, BORING!!! When is someone gonna do something different? Quote
adventure2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Well no disrespect to anyone , but I cant stand Led Zeppelin. I pretty much think the band sucks. To name a rollercoaster after them is kind of a joke to me. There are far better bands out there they could have used to name the coaster after. Quote
PKIVortex Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 And why is the coaster all white, including the trains? Boring paint scheme if you ask me. Quote
KIBeast Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I love how it's been decided that it's a boring coaster before even one person has been on it. Try riding it first, then I'll take your opinions a little more seriously. Quote
Hank Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 ^ I'm glad you love me! I'm not gonna spend my hard earned money to ride some "clone" no matter what the color scheme is. It's like driving GM's cookie cutter cars - they're all alike except for different trim and extra pieces of sound insulation under the rug. There are too many parks and they are charging too much - food included. They're already starting to lose money. So until something radical comes along, bah-humbug to the same old things. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I think the ride looks pretty fun. While it might not be anything amazing it defintly be better than alot of coasters. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 yeah I don't really see boring when I look at the coaster. I see speed and inversions, cloning aside, I hope to ride it someday. It looks like a thrill ride to me! Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Two people have mentioned cloning in this topic, what is everyone claiming this coaster is a clone of? And why is the coaster all white, including the trains? Boring paint scheme if you ask me. I agree, not to mention once it gets dirty it will really show. Unless they keep up the paint on that thing, its going to really start looking like crap. That coaster looks pretty fun, but it seems like there's not much to it... loop, cobra roll, barrel roll, loop, helix. there's no camelbacks, and no speed sections. I guess I'm probably being overly critical, but it seems like there should be more to me. I believe that video cut out early since nothing more could be seen from that angle. After it hits the breaks seen in that video it continues into a downward helix, another corkscrew, then and upward helix. I love how it's been decided that it's a boring coaster before even one person has been on it. Try riding it first, then I'll take your opinions a little more seriously. haha, i agree, for all we know this could end up being one of the best steels out there. We have no idea how the inversions or forces feel. Firehawk from the midway looks slow, especially in the loop. But darn, Firehawk is one intense coaster, especially when you are in the back and you get pulled through that loop! Quote

You better not spend your hard earned money to come to Kings Island then... we have a lot of clones. (Not that Led Zeppelin is a clone, it's not) Quote

PKIVortex Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I didn't say the ride looked boring, I just said the paint scheme did. Quote

The Interpreter Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Tomb Raider was NOT the first Top Spin. It WAS (and IS) the only Giant Top Spin. There is doubtless a reason no others have been built. Quote

NatiReds084 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 The Led Zepplin coaster looks fun but I dont think I will be going to this park when I'm in Myrtle Beach because their aren't many other rides I would get on. Quote
Browntggrr Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 A trip to HRP is in my families' plan this year. I have always been very intrested in the early years of KI, especially the pics. Now I will be able to experience the same thing at HRP from it's opening year to (hopefully) 30 years from now. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 So far I have plans to attend the opening day of Hard Rock Park, Kings Dominion and Carowinds. I also plan to attend many, many other parks this year as I started a very lucrative Internship this past month, and have plenty of money to throw into our nation's struggling economy! I am diving my wallet headlong into the entertainment sector, and various stocks and bonds, lol. Quote
