Wasn't Cincinnati going to get the high speed rail also? I will have to ask my dad he help work on the project back in the 2000.

Back when Paul Brown Stadium was being built there was an idea for a light rail, above ground, train line that would run around Cincinnati/Newport/and eventually out to Kings Island/Kings Mills depending on how tourist destinations developed. The plans for this were canceled and I believe are being reviewed as part of the Banks project. In 2002 Cincinnati had on their ballots a plan to approve a light rail system around the University of Cincinnati that would eventually span out around downtown/uptown, then in another phase around sections of I-275, then in a third phase, a rail line out along I-71 to Kings Mills/Mason. Even the first phase of this was defeated horribly on the ballot.

And wasn't Cincy also ALMOST going to get a subway?

The Cincinnati Subway was partially built in 1920-1925. Then funds ran out and the construction on the subway was halted. The tunnels that were built still remain and are maintained by the city.
