I am a show person also... So are any of us gonna meet up here and there at the park this spring?

As for meeting up - anyone that sees a fat woman in an electric wheelchair - that looks like the picture at left here - then come on over and tell me who you are - I am more than happy to see people from here and have had several coming up to me introducing themselves. It just makes my day - I am as my forum name is - KAREN. I have even had a few sit and watch the shows with me - gotten to know a few more personally.

Those that need a ride buddy - often there is someone in my group that wants to ride rides that the others do not - feel free to steal them for a little bit or hang out with us for the day. We welcome everyone that wants to hang out with us and we are a come as you are kind of group.

I am really looking forward to better times and improved access to the handicapped.

Karen, that is something I have always looked forward to at Kings Island. For the most part I have had good experiences when visiting with a handicapped friend, whom is paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheel chair. The best experience I ever had was at The Beast around June 2005. Myself, my friend, and our daughters had climbed all the way up the exit platform of The Beast, not even to the top yet, we were already greeted by an employee and yet another employee who met us by the back gate ready to get us some seats. Generally I have continued to have great experiences with the handicapped policy at the park although Karen, I will warn you, a little birdy told me that the there may be a new policy passed down from those behind desks in Sandusky...........one that does not improve access or experience...

I am looking forward to walking back to The Beast seeing an empty line heading up the back of the train ramp waiting a couple of cars for the back seat when there is about 4 open in front of me and then sitting down and smelling the fresh oil on the tracks and buckling my seat belt and pulling down my lap bar and then hearing that oh so familiar buzz and then hearing the words, All Clear. Then i cannot wait to get off and do it all again. Oh yeah i am also looking forward to the rest of the park.

IF true, it had best not detract from access for the disabled....reasonable accomodation is not just a nice thing to do....it's the law.

In the words of another theme park chain:

Send in the cranes

There ought to be cranes

And soon enough, it will BE next year!

Terpy (you thought he forgot!)

In the words of BoddaH1994: epic bump.

Angie, who dishes it out just as well as she takes it :P
