Purplehaze Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Ok, is it possible to take a glass of ice water on the defunt Scream'n Demon and when you reach the other side would it still be full? Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Possible? Certainly. Plausible? That's up for argument... Quote
Beast1979 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 You'd have to keep it the glass pointing in the direction of the centrifical force! I tried it with a penny on Double Loop @ Geauga Lake Quote
Purplehaze Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Actually no argument it is necessary . When I worked the ride we used to do it even with guests on the train. Usually wait til there were teenagers on-board that didnt mind. We would start with a full glass of water and time we got to the other side there was at least 3/4 left in the glass. We rode that ride many many times a day, we did a little of everything on it..... Quote
XGatorHead 8904 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 So you start the post by asking a question, and then you answer your own question 3 posts later, from personal experience? That's a good one! Of course I would say this is possible, especially if the cup has a lid! Quote
Purplehaze Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 I was wanting opinions so no need to pick apart my post, why is everyone a wise ass . and no lids on the cups.... I am sure if you did hold the cup it is possible not to spill a drop Quote

Purplehaze Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 um like I said, To get opinions! It is a forum, you know where you discuss subjects. Quote
jzarley Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 The Demon was the first looping rollercoaster I ever rode... Was there any alternative to loading than walking up the stairs? I know this was pre-ADA and everything, and I can barely remember the ride. I remember thinking the stairs was one of the scariest parts Quote
Purplehaze Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 I don't think there was that was a long time ago. To get to the station on the other side we just rode over and the train stopped while the two people switched places. A lot of times the guests on the train would get panicky cause the train would stop and one employee got out while another took his place. At closing time the far side tower person had to walk down the stairs instead of riding back. Often security would escort them if they were woman. Was pretty dark back in that corner. Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I think the question was whether there was any way to the loading platform other than the stairs. There was not. One of the Arrow shuttle loops had an elevator...the one later known as Afterburner at Fun Spot, though the elevator has not worked for many, many years. Quote

Everytime a ride or Roller Coaster has something that makes it special, its always taken out or hasen't worked for years. Quote
