Gturner94
I went to Cedar Point over the summer. It was awesome. 17 coasters and i rode all of them except Millenium Force which was closed. BoddaH1994
It's our sister park. How could we have anything against Cedar Point?
DropZone99
Ive been to Cedar Point twice, once in 2004 and then again in 2007. Here is a TR about my last visit. We got to CP around 1pm. and checked into our hotel at Hotel Beakers. We were going to ride Maverick first but it had a huge line, so we rode Mean Streak instead. It was awesome, but i like SOB better. Next we went to Skyhawk, i never rode it before so i was excited, and it was amazing! We then went and rode Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, and Power Tower (launch). After eating at our hotel we came back to the park and rode Wicked Twister, MaXair, Disaster Transport, Demon Drop, Blue Streak, and Raptor. By then it was already 8:30, so we were running out of time. My dad had never rode Top Thrill Dragster before so thats what we wanted to ride last. The line was only about 25 minutes long, so we got on quick. The next morning me and my dad woke up early and walked to the Magnum entrance before the rest of th hotel guest got there. Once the rope dropped my dad and i ran to Maverick... we only had to wait 5 minutes! We got our pictures and were going to get on again, but the line already got to over an hour. Up next was Millenium Force, i love that ride. The wait was about 25 minutes (not bad for front seat.) Since we were by Mantis we decided to give it a try.., okay, but Georgia Scorcher is alot better. After riding alot of the rides again we rode Magnum XL-200 last. It was a great visit and i can't wait to go again!
KIBeast
I've been there a few times and have not had a bad experience yet, other than waiting for Maverick to open for about an hour and a half in the morning. Gturner 94, why don't you tell us with a little more detail about what you liked or disliked about Cedar Point? The food, the atmosphere, the service and how well you liked or disliked the 17 coasters there.
Jasper
Been there a total of about 6 times. I have ridden every coaster in the park but nothing and i mean nothing tops Milly. Magnum and Maverick are close seconds but they still do not compare.
Browntggrr
I can honestly say that I have only had a "bad" experience at a park on two different occaisions, and both times it was at KD. But what a person's opinion of what "bad" means varies a great deal.
Lake54321
It's our sister park. How could we have anything against Cedar Point? It's the BEST Amusement Park in the WORLD!!! NO ONE has anything bad to say about it!!!
The Interpreter
So how is the Kool-Aid?
KIBeast
The Kool-Aid? Is that a reference to Jim Jones?
The Interpreter
It's a reference to a true believer who has absorbed the reputation of a place. As for Jim Jones, that was Flavour-Aid, not Kool Aid. Grape, to be exact. There are many things not all that great at Cedar Point, from the plugged up water fountains (same ones, every visit last summer over a period of months, not weeks), to the often filthy and way too small restrooms. Yes, it's a good park. Yes, it has great rides....but there are other amusement parks I much prefer....from Indiana Beach to Kennywood to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.... DropZone99
I can't say many bad things about CP except that no matter where your at, when your there it's very crowded. And there is almost always huge lines. Oh yeah, there is also those annoying seagulls every were.
The Interpreter
Go early in the season, though even that is not the guarantee it once was. From about the second week in June on, there is almost no such thing as a dead day at America's Roller Coast...
KIBeast
I kinda made a connection to drinking the Kool-Aid (obviously served by Kinzel) to Jim Jones and the Flavor-Aid. Off topic...Do you know why there are no Jim Jones jokes?...the punch lines are too long!
The Interpreter
Oh my...I fear you are about to become a member of The Original Interpreter's Bad Pun Club.... Would you like some Hawaiian Punch?
KIBeast
I agree, between Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Geauga Lake, CP has the worst bathrooms. I mention those three as the only parks I've visited other than Camden. Haven't been there in years, so I wouldn't want to comment on that. Although, from looking through the fence, Camden is looking pretty spiffy these days. Need to get over there and take some pics. Wonder how hard it would be to get in there during the off-season to take pics? Of course, I mean with permission. Would loved to have taken some winter pics with snow everywhere. The Interpreter
Call them and ask, nicely. I bet you get a nice answer...
KIBeast
Cool. I think I will. I can't wait until they open again. I haven't been on Big Dipper in over 10 years. Same goes for all of their rides. I've been putting it off for way too long. They do seem to be really nice folks. The lady I spoke to about the bumper cars was just genuinely nice. I'll do a photo TR if I can get this to happen. The Interpreter
They open May 3..which, to get us back on topic, is a week before Cedar Point does.... Cedar Fair and Six Flags have both cut way back on operating days and hours...
Gordon Bombay
with being closer to camden while im in Athens as opposed to when I'm in cincy, i may have to try and get to Camden if the funds and car wanna be cool.

Gordon Bombay
I'd rather have a Great Adventure and catch the train to the original Island.

Jasper
Going back to CP's bathrooms try being stuck in one with about 30 drenched males while it is literally a white wash outside. Needless to say it was not a very pleasent experience.

Not exactly sure what you mean by white wash, but being stuck in a bathroom with 30 drenched males definately sounds like an unpleasant experience.
