And Fear Fest was a hit

Featured Replies

As soon as I entered the park I did like usual snapping picutres. My first 2 rides of the day were deliruim. The line was two turnstyles long. After those 2 in a kind rides I headed over to DZ. That had a slightly longer line but I havent been on it in awhile so I though o well. After the old DZ ride I found that SOB was running half full train loads so I went over there and caught a ride. I walked over toward FOF and once again found the line to be long so I didnt bother and went on to do maze of madness. I found it to be the same old dumb thing. After that waste of time I had towards the back end of coney "maul" to ride The Vortex to find it broken down. So I went to do that Count Dragula thing. Once again a waste of time for the ride but I did enjoy seeing the old PT theming. After that The Vortex was open and I got on for the quick ride. Next I headed back by The Beast and found its line to be on the short side what a ride! Tomb Raider was out of the cave so I didnt ride that. Next we went over to Hanna Barbra Land and rode SDATHC and I got my hightest score ever 1850! It was getting to be about 7PM at the time so we went in got in line early for Sleepy Hallow. Once it open around 820 or so I waited about 20 minutes. I tell you this is the best haunted thing in the park. I went over to Action Zone after wards and rode the SOB 4 times in a row without getting off. I then went over to Drop Zone and got my first night ride on that thing. It is sure amazing. Now one last 2 que line for Deliruim. I was getting ready to go when I discovered something one never sees at PKI. A walk on Face/Off line. I rode this thing 3 times in a row and it was now around 11pm and I was half dead so we left the park.

It's a shame that you thought so many attractions were a waste of your time. I thought they did great this year!

I did ride Sleepy Hallow Horror and I thought that was great but the Maze of Madness and the Dracula thing weren't really that good.

I thought it was better than last year, but the park was packed and I decided to hangout at Lt. Dan's. I needed to relax after a ride on SOB.

I looked for other PKIC members and never seen a one, they must have seen me first. ;)

In my personal opinion this year's FearFest was better than last year's. The only thing I find to be a waste of time is the usual rides because I have all season to ride them. During FearFest, I want to enjoy the haunted attractions as much as possible.

I wonder what PKI has in store for next year's FearFest. And I wonder if WinterFest will be returned next year as well.

Have a great day!

I wasn't really impressed. It seemed like last year to me. The Dracula ride seemed to end in the middle of the movie and had no setup in the line. There's still way too much light and the fog was only in a portion of Coney Maul. We went to the Friday the 13th show and it was corny but had potential for further thrills. The line for Sleepy Hollow started near the pastry shop so we skipped that. We did go on Curse of the Crypt. I think it was the same setup as last year. Dark house was "broken down" at 3:30 so we skipped that. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 4.

YOu must haven't been in Action Zone then Cause that is where I spent all my time cause everything in there was walk ons. I had a great time at Fear Fest and I would recommand you actionzone lovers go here and forget the haunted stuff.

Winter Fest could be coming back next year. :D When Fear Fest is over I hope me and Dane can get the 1985 Winter Fest Video up. :offtopic: Fear Fest was ok last year just to long of lines for the Fear Fest rides. The other rides in the park where walk ons.

I talked to a friend of mine she went to FearFest over the weekend she said it was much better than last years suckfest she loved the Sleepy Hollow maze thingy the things she told me not to ride or go on are the Friday the 13th and Dracula she said they were a total waste of time and space she liked almost everything but she wishes PKI would do more Family-type Halloween stuff like Disney instead of going the scary route.

Sounds like FearFest has improved. B)

I haven't been to Fear Fest yet. But it sounds like it has improved. I plan to go this saturday and see for myself.

Did she miss the entire HB section of the park and all the stuff that we do for the families during the day........I mean really people, we should give PKI praise for offering stuff for both the fafamiliesnd the adults, instead of just family stuff or just haunted stuff not suitable for everyone.

She didnt go in the day besides I kinda agree with her pki is a FAMILY park. There are plenty of others places to go to and get scared at in october it would be nice to have at least one place where you could take the kids to at night and have a fun time.
