DropZone99 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I was thinking about what happened to Face/Off's old sign, and Top Gun's, TRTR, ect... And i think that it would be an amazingly awesome idea if KI had an auction selling the old Paramount theming! This include signs, theming, anything, even old trash cans! I would love to buy some stuff, and im sure alot of people on the forum would too! It would be a great money maker for the park too! Quote
DarkBeast Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Yeah, and give everything to charity. I'm no expert in marketing and copyright, but I don't know if they are allowed to do that, though. Because they don't own the rights to the names, they may have been forced to just dispose of them. Quote

But many people sell old movie posters and similar items on the internet without getting into any trouble...... Quote
Jasper Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I wouldnt mind having the poster that was in the line for Top Gun that had Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer in each others face. Sounds like a good wall decoration. Quote

DeLorean Rider Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I was driving up I-75 once in the post season of 2005 and was passed by a pickup truck that had something quite interesting in its bed standing straight up. It was one of the Yogie Bears that was on the kid carousel when it was HB. That is something I would have wanted to have in my living room. No idea how they got it but I wish I could have asked. Cormaster Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Last year they clearanced out all the paramount merchandise and sold it for hellacious deals... I paid $4 to get 4 "Bubba gump shrimp company" glasses, and $20 to get "paramount's Kings Island-opoloy"! I imagined if this is alright than I surely auctioning off the actual theming wouldn't be bad. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 It all depends on what the terms of the contract of sale between CBS and Cedar Fair were...terms that have not been disclosed...and on what rights CBS itself had to the items that were being considered for sale. Large theming items would no doubt be treated differently from merchandise originally made to be resold. Quote

deerhunter Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I worked at a movie theater years ago..and I have a poster that was hung in the hallway during the first run of The Empire Strikes Back...This poster is for the movie Revenge of the Jedi...which was later changed to Return of the Jedi..because I suppose someone figured out Jedi weren't supposed to act on revenge. I always wondered if it's worth anything. Quote

And Return of the Jedi was not meant to be a dark movie. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0= Depending on what type of poster you have, it could be worth quite a bit. Quote
