xThexCrewx Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 thats probably the most probable explanation...i don't mind seeing the park clean but i hate seeing so many people walking around having to clean up....if you go to places like HW or even CP sometimes you rarely ever see people walking around cleaning up...its just nice not having to see people doing that

TheKlockster Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I must concede, that yes, it is possible. However, I think it is HIGHLY unlikely. The three major theme park chains are CF, PP and SF. If CF bought PP, that would leave two - SF and CF. And more competition is good for business.

I know that SF really had HUGE plans for 'WoA. The parent company just over-extended to the tune of 2 billion dollars. side note for Geauga....see what happens when you remove a good set of scooters?!

xThexCrewx Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 the thing is..geagua lake isn't pki...i mean that park is great, but when it comes to the revenue and business that pki reels in, GL can't even compare...plus its six flags...the park up there gets hardly any business and wouldn't kill six flags to sell it, plus the money they got from selling it could be used to greatly improve one of their other parks....paramount wouldn't sell pki to improve another park because this is their best park they have and would more than likely sell any of the other parks before this one...pki would be the last park to be sold if any of them were to be sold at all..which is unlikely still... i'd love to see Cedar Fairs buy pki just because i think it would be interesting to see what they would do with it...but the chances of that happening are literally .05% if that
KIBeast Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 GL hasn't been Six Flags since the start of the 2004 season. They sold it at a loss. I doubt that money will be used for anything other than trying to get them out of the deep debt that they created. There would be no surplus funds.
xThexCrewx Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 i guess thats true..i ment to say used to be SF...but if thats what they use the money for then thats a pretty good idea..i've only been to one SF park and they seemed to be doing really good for themselves. i went to the great america and that park was amazing...that totally surprised me when i was there, it was clean..no down timed rides..employees were pretty nice..it was a nice trip.i hope to see more SF take the same path, I'd like to see some better parks from them.

I don't really care that much if CP were to buy PKI, though I like the way paramount is handleing it. And since the parks weren't for sale then, I doubt Kinzel was there talking about buying the park. And as Bodda informed me, PP HQ is up by Carowinds, so why go to PKI? Also, they are building a ride PKI already had for this year, so he was probably just gathering information, or simply just talking with the GM of PKI. They don't have the cash to buy all the parks. Please stop being such a little ***** whenever someone says they don't think it will happen. He may have been there, but that doesn't mean they were talking about buying PKI. Just hold yourself out a little longer until the parks open back up and you can get humped into submission by Dominator once more. Or twice more. Or three times more.

First off almost EVERY Cedar Fair park gets a new ride every year so you cant say that. Also Cedar Fair doesnt put in crappy rides. So please get your facts straight before you post soething that isnt true.
