what is a borrow area?

When you need dirt for a construction project, it has to come from somewhere. The place you get it from is a "borrow area." If you need to get rid of dirt, you put it in a "fill area."

You had to mention bees on the day I got stung at BB.....LOL!!!

But it looks as though they are finished taking soil from the area behind SoB. The last time I was there it had been filled in and regraded.

I was SURE that I caught the ol' Interpreter FINALLY making a wrong word choice...but I guess not...kind of. Here in Illinois I have always heard that it was flies, not bees that you could catch more of with honey. I Googled "more flies with honey"...it matched 93,200..."more bees with honey" matched a mere 18,300. So my question is...is this a regional thing like pop/soda or is it something like "I COULD care less"...a phrase misquoted so often that it has become a phrase unto itself?!

I've always heard and said flies/sugar. How's that for another layer of confusion?

All I know about that is if you call the women at work honey, you will get stung...if not by them, by someone from the EEO department! Same thing if you call them sugar...even if their name is Bea!

what is the deal with the crypt right now. i thought it had been fixed. but to me it still has alot of downtime

I think it might actually be part of the construction area for the new coaster. Me and my friend were sitting outside The Beast Saturday talking to a couple of the workers who were walking through the park for whatever reason, and they seem to be under the impression that the construction in Rivertown is just 1/3 of the coaster. They said it would have a length to rival that of The Beast.

So maybe it's just one huge construction area?

It could also be the track storage area for when the track starts arriving. That is what I was thinking when I saw it.

Well, assuming that the workers were right and that it did have a length to rival The Beast then it'd have to be about that long. But then again, terpy could also be right. He usually is XD
