Misplaced Gold Pass?

My brother seems to have misplaced his Gold Pass (As he does with alot of stuff). We're going to KI tomorrow and I'm thinking this may put a damper on our plans. Then I remember that I was riding Firehawk once with a few strangers, and we were trying to have a conversation on the way up the lift hill. I remember saying "God I hope that my wallet doesn't fall out of my pocket, I don't want to lose my Gold Pass" and the guy sitting/laying next to me says "The park should replace it for you if you do, they have it on file that you've paid for one"

Is there any truth to his statement? If so, will he have to pay a fee to get a new one? Or is he just screwed?

...which includes mention of a $15 fee for replacing a lost or stolen pass, and says that it can only be done at the park where purchased (which I truly doubt is the case with Platinum Passes...)

In the past, the park would let you in ONE time without a lost pass...after that you had to purchase a replacement...I'm not so sure about now...

They can reissue you a pass if you loose yours, read the back of your card for more info.

Dane is correct. KI will let you enter the park up to three times if you forget your pass. If you should loose it, there is a $15 fee to reissue it. Check with the lost and found in case it was turned in.

To add to this, my friend lost his pass, but he is still looking for it,and when we would go to the guest relations they look up his name but get no results.Even though I know he got a pass cause he was with me on opening day.Now they say the computers are updating so it may be there later. But if they dont find it will he not be able to get another one without paying full price?

We had that happen this year as well. Someone stole our diaper bag with our passes in it. We went to get them replaced and they could not find my husband.

If your friend has proof of his purchase (ie credit card slip, check that has cleared, etc") they will work with him.

Also, instead of looking him up by name, if he filled out the paper when he had his picture made, they can look him up via phone, address, etc. Also, if he just used his picture from previous year this year, if he has his old pass they can look him up that way as well.

So, Justin_M17, what happened yesterday? Did you all go? Did your brother get in okay? Did he behave himself in the shops?

Yeah, he paid to replace the pass and everything went smoothly. I showed him a post from the thread where I first revealed his "Problem" and he got scared. All in all a good trip. Although I do wish I could finally go with someone who will ride anything other than AE and The Racers. Hasn't happened yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
