Silverwood: Riders Stranded When Roller Coaster Stalls

Recommended Posts

I just didn't see that as anything major considering they all do that. I don't call that little incident enough to say, well, they shouldn't have bought that one. Now, if it winds up havng major downtime, then there's a case.

Buyer beware, I guess. How much did they pay for it? I looked and couldn't find anything.

According to Wikipedia, the coaster would often stall in the middle of the ride.

Could they not find someone/thing better than Wikipedia or is that finally a reliable source?

This is true, thats why they built the evac platform in the middle of the cobra roll.

Evac Platform

You know its a reoccuring issue when you spend the money to build a platform to retrive riders because the coaster stalls all the time.

I don't recall Invertigo at KI ever stalling in the cobra roll. I do know that it's valleyed between the lift and vertical loop, as well as at both ends of the station.

Shaggy

Yeah,I've never heard of two face stalling in the cobra roll either....sure it's stalled between the loop & second lift on one occasion & has parked itself on the first lift three times so far but never in the cobra roll.

According to someone who posted this on Cbuzz, a Seattle/Washington newspaper claimed Silverwood paid 20x the purchase price to transport it and install it....and then a different article claimed SF sold it for $200K....so $200,000 to buy and $4,000,000 to transport and install.
