The Interpreter
For Mason at this time, no significant snow is expected. Even for Indy, it's way too early to tell...freezing precipitation may be a larger concern, as in sleet and/or freezing rain. All this in the Tuesday/Wednesday time frame. http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findwe...ast?query=46201 Stay tuned.

The Interpreter
It's the Diamondback topic...and we are so desperate to talk about the wonders of the thing, that sometimes we go astray! Anywho, on with the snow...er....show!

Coney Islander
This is kind of off topic, but does anyone else think Delirium is closed a lot? Since it opened one time I went to KI it was closed the entire day and three times it was closed for a "brief" period and I only go to KI once a year. Out of every visit to Kings Island since 2003, it has only been closed once, and that was for just about ten minutes.
UnrealNightmare
I don't know what the forecast for Mason will be, but when I watched the weather this morning the guy said Indy is looking at its first significant snowfall of the season coming this Wednesday!?! Haha I hope we get lots of snow. I just got one of those speed tubes for xmas and I can't wait to use it. Keep in mind I just moved back to Indy from Florida in April. I haven't seen a decent amount of snow in 5 years.
The Interpreter
For many of us, and I bet that includes the construction company and its workers who are building Diamondback, a decent amount of snow is the same as that which normally falls on Miami (no, not Miami, Ohio) in a season! LongLiveTheSmurfRide
That final helix is going to mess with my concentration when I'm playing the roller bowler. Why didn't they think of that when they built it?

LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I think everyone expects that one piece that's on the ground between the splashdown and brake will be the final one.
Beast1979
It was confirmed by Don Helbig in a news article somwhere that the crown piece between the splashdown and brake run would be the final piece.
The Interpreter
That final helix is going to mess with my concentration when I'm playing the roller bowler. Why didn't they think of that when they built it? The more you are messed with while playing games, the fewer the prizes paid out...Same reason casinos have so many beautiful people cavorting about the poker players! So, who sez they didn't think of that when they built it!
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
^ Good thinking. It's all a conspiracy to get my dough. I am easily startled while playing and I'll keep feeding my quarters until I win, so I'll need to time out my game in between the roar of the coaster. But then I'll be rushing my roller bowler rolls to get into a rhythm before the next train comes. This is going to be a stressful season of roller bowling. I may need to find another game. Beast1979
I believe it's a game where you roll a bowling ball over a few metal rails to try and get it to the end.
LongLiveTheSmurfRide
It's the cheapest game in the park. You roll a bowling ball over a hump, then it goes up a little hill and comes back. The idea is to get the ball to stay between the 2 hills and stay in limbo. Then you get a stuffed "something-or-other"; then you try to win again so that you can trade up. It's only a quarter a try, so if you're good enough at it, you can get a pretty good sized "something-or-other" for like 75 cents. It's located right by The Beast on ride photo kiosk. There was one by The Racer/Outer Limits area at one time as well, but I think it might have moved.

LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Whatever, everything is from China these days and costs eighteen cents; except for Diamondback.

LongLiveTheSmurfRide
Thanks for the advice. Not sure where it was from originally. My fiance's mom found it at the Goodwill and just has a little rust I got out. Works great so far.
