BoddaH1994
All season pass holders (2008 & 2009) can bring a friend to Kings Island for just $9.99 on Friday, September 19 (park hours 5:00pm – 10:00pm) and Saturday, September 20 (10:00am – 10:00pm). Justin_M17
It's going to be packed, but I'll be there anyway. Can't possibly be any worse than it was on the day that Knievel jumped...*Bad memories of a 45-minute wait for AE*
Kman6
45 minutes on A E !! That is something I never thought I`d hear. But I never go on weekends or holidays. I would love to go that friday but chances are good it will be packed, but probably not as bad as that Saturday.
RailRider
I have made it a habit to stay away from the park on discount days like bring a friend free or this one. The park is always insanely packed.
Guest TombraiderTy
At least the $10 charge will keep a fraction of the massive crowd away...
Thrill_Biscuit
45 minutes for AE? I wonder what that translates to in Firehawk time?
Justin_M17
45 minutes for AE? I wonder what that translates to in Firehawk time? I didn't ask the guy working the line how long the wait would be, but just by looking at the size of the line (Which was backing up ouside of the entrance and getting close to the lockers) I'd say it was around 3 hours
fanofki
I don't remember the last time I went on one of those days. I think it was a couple years ago (back when there were three or so bring a friend free days) and the place was pretty crowded, but I don't think Adventure Express was anywhere near 45 min. Maybe like 20 when I went.
padfoot714
I remember back in the day when rides like FD and AE were brand new and waiting for more than an hour was fairly typical. I remember being so excited to ride those rides when they were new. That's probably why I still get so much enjoyment out of them today. I've actually fallen asleep on it once or twice, according to my friend. The first time I rode it, it made me really mad. At the end of the ride when you're being pulled up the lift hill with all the stone statues around you, it makes you expect something good. And then...The ride is over. Beast1979
I love AE. It's a great ride. It's not to thrilling, or fast paced, but I just love the drops, the twists, the turns, the theming, to me it just represents coasters and why they are fun. But the ending is a rip, though. Honestly I think it should be replaced with a Ferris Wheel (Seriously, what kind of decent theme park doesn't have a Ferris Wheel present?) But that's just me. Anyway, I'll be going that Sunday (With someone who hasn't been to KI in 12 years!) in an attempt to avoid as much of the crowd as possible

Justin_M17
heh, good luck! Bring a friend days are filled. Yeah, I know. I may be wrong here but I figure that most people will go Saturday rather than Sunday so it won't be QUITE as packed.
Rollercoast19
I believe the park is not open Sunday. I think it is only Friday and Saturday. Does anyone know if the shows like Flashback Totally 80s or The County Line will be performed on these bonus days?

Does anyone know if the shows like Flashback Totally 80s or The County Line will be performed on these bonus days? Ah, I thought it was the whole weekend. Guess I should've read a bit more before I jumped to conclusions, lol. But to answer your question (With my own half-baked analysis of course) I don't see why they wouldn't be performed. These days are regular KI operating days like every other day in the season after all.

standbyme
Dude AE is amazing... I might not use the word "amazing"...but it is a great asset to the park...the park would not be the same without it. It's a very good coaster for anyone who doesn't like really tall heights but still wants a fast ride. The thing I really like about it is that it's a coaster that a whole family can enjoy together...a lot better than BLSC.

When I was younger my mom wouldn't even go on The Beastie with me because of the drop. But since this had a curved drop she really enjoyed the ride. It is the only coaster that I have been on with her.
PKIVortex
So they say all 2008 and 2009 season pass holders can bring a friend for 9.99. What about a person who has a 2009 season pass and already used there free visit? Do they have to buy a ticket that day?

Does anyone know if the shows like Flashback Totally 80s or The County Line will be performed on these bonus days? I had asked a supervisor on Labor Day, and was told, "80's will be performed on Saturday, but not Hot Island" we didn't get to ask about County Line. Does anyone know if the shows like Flashback Totally 80s or The County Line will be performed on these bonus days? According to the park map, County Line, Hot Island Rhythms and Dora are scheduled to continue through 9/21. Endless Summer on Ice, despite the show's name, ended on 8/17. Girl's Night Out ended 9/1 and Flashback: Totally 80's ends 9/14.
Rollercoast19
I am hoping that since these days were not originally scheduled that some of those dates are incorrect.
CoastersRZ
No, I`d imagine that the ending dates for the shows are fairly accurate. I know from having visited KI for P&G days for numerous years, that there usually aren`t live shows on these private park events. Unfortunately, this will be the first time in fifteen plus years that I will not be going to KI for P&G day, and not because I don`t have access to tickets to the event. I will be down in Orlando spending five days at the happiest place on earth. Given the choice between KI and the happiest place on earth, I think I`d pick the latter of the two. Nobody does magic quite like Disney!
The Interpreter
I thought you said you were going to Orlando! I thought the happiest place on Earth was in California....
