Also add Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life" (the version featuring the guy from 12 Stones).

There's a song that comes on right before the show starts and right after The Automatic Automatic's "Monster". (The "warning" comes over the speakers as the song is playing.) It is not played in full. Could anyone tell me the name of that one?

There is also a song there that I believe is done better than the original. Can anyone guess which one? (It's not very hard.)

That song played right after Automatic's 'Monster' is 'Knights of Cydonia' by Muse, I believe. I know I heard it being played last year.

And for the second question...Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper, right? At least, I think it's better than the original.

EDIT: Check out Knott's Berry Farm's take on Club Blood:

^ Holy freakin crapola, that's killer.

Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper is the song that the show begins and ends on. I agree that their version is better than the original, Cooper's version is very soft and cryptic and theirs is very pumped up.

Just going back to massacre manor, which part of the place did you like the most or scared you the most, I am trying to get feed back so I can tell every one that I work there with what they need to work on.

for me, i didnt really get scared too much if any in this house, but thats only cause its really hard to scare me. i know some of the people that "welcome" you to the house when you first walk in did not tell the story when i went through. other times they did. but each time i went through it was a different person. dont know if that helps or not lol. just possibly a idea, dont know if you guys could do it or not but when you go through the closet, it would be awesome to have someone hiding near the end of the clothes that are in your path and scare people. i was waiting for someone to pop out at try to get me but no one ever did. i dont know if you actually do this or not. i just know that it hasnt happened to me and i havent noticed anyone there to do it. that would prolly scare me a little. it seems a little different each time i go though due to the number of scare actors. sometimes there are many in each room and other times only one in each room if that. i understand this could be cause of shift change or due to the actual number of employees on hand at the park for each house...thats just my opinion though. dont know if it helps or counts for what you want though lol..but i try

Club Blood 3/10 Not scary AT ALL! From watching videos from last year ( I didn't get a chance to go in last year) compared to this year, they actually took scenes out! Such as the hospital room and stuff! If you want a scary mae, don't go to Club Blood!

The vampire birth scene never made much sense to me... how many dance clubs have a hospital room in them? The birth scene (minus the vampires) is a better fit with Urgent Scare.

I think that Club Blood has a much better overall theme this year! It is definetly the most unique haunt. The scare-actors are more enthusiastic, and they placed some good guys and gals in key places. The intensity levels are high during the adventure! If your not into blood-thirsty Exotic Vampire Dancers, Biker Mama, Dominatrix Vampiress beating her beeyotches, the street whore with their blinged-out Pimp, or even the hard core dance tunes spun by the resident evil Dj..... Than I suggest stay away from Club Blood. Don't put it down for its scare or fright effects because its not in your taste of haunting!!! But if your into the much improved version.....(geared for mature guest)...... Please by all means, visit it, and enjoy it.

After just watching a video of Club Blood from last year, I noticed it was a lot darker throughout the maze. When we went through on 10/3/08 it was very bright throughout the maze, and we could see everything! Also they weren't playing the BLADE music in the maze.

they do play the same 3 songs over, and over, and over, and over again..... it gets old for us inside. however, i did give up a few of my personal disc, for the yellow shirts to listen to and pass on to the higher ups to see if we can play them. no word yet, most likely means a big fat NO! a larger selection of music would keep us in better spirits and would most likely boost the over all effect!!!

Thank you for your undoubtedly accurate report. I think I will take your advice.

My nickels can be spent elsewhere on Friday and Saturday evenings in October. Obviously, I am in a minority. As long as it sells, I suppose nothing really is off limits. Family park? Yeah, right.

Family park? Yeah, right

So then I guess you would like to stay away from all the other parks that use the same sort of environments this time of year?? All of the other parks that added Club Blood this year....hmmm, must have been pretty da*n good to have been farmed out to at least 4 parks including the "all-mighty" Knott's. And of course stay away from all of the "family" parks that also added Dead Awakening this year.

Oh, and don't forget to stay away from Universal, who has in the past had some very skimpy clad women gyrating on the streets of their haunt. And who sells alcohol right on the streets in blood bags, and who in the past has had girls walking around with shot tubes.

And definatly make sure you stay away from other Haunted Houses who show any sort of graphic scenes...escpecially the Haunted Hoochie, wear they have a live shot gun suicide scene, or Knott's where they hang people.

I don't understand why people don't get the simple fact that when it comes to a Haunt event, no matter where it is....it's NOT MEANT to be for the family. Why make a comment about it being a

Family park? Yeah, right
When they are obviously not meaning for it to be one after dark on these nights?

So it's not your thing? Big deal....why bash it? There are plenty of people who actually really enjoy it....I know, I hear the comments all the time from them. Maybe I don't like Delerium, or some other ride.....but am I going to bash the park, or that particular ride just because it's not my taste? NO...I'm going to let the people who enjoy it, enjoy it...while I spent my time doing something I enjoy.

Thanks for that list. The one I couldn’'t think of was the Muse song which I knew I had heard before. (Guitar Hero...Duh!) Anyways, I like that one. That’'s the one they play right before the show starts. I like the one they play at the very end of the show too when everything’'s all over--’"The Widow’". I knew and had heard that one before too...live, even. I had forgotten that it was the exit music until I went and saw the show again this year though.

It was funny because when I made my Halloween CD mix this year, which I listended to on our way to and from The Haunt, I added a bunch of songs from Dead Awakening. On our way up there, my aunt was like.. what’'s so scary about these songs. She hadn’'t seen the show yet. I told her she’'d see. They make me think of Halloween every time I hear them now.

Just going back to massacre manor, which part of the place did you like the most or scared you the most, I am trying to get feed back so I can tell every one that I work there with what they need to work on.

Well, here's what scared me the most: Once, maybe twice, I can't remember, you are completely in the dark. I mean, you can't even see your hand in front of your face. I think that's scary enough, but I think it could be better. All you'd need is someone with a flashlight to their face and you've just done the oldest trick in the book. Of course, I know it might not work to have scareactors in a completely dark room because they can't really see what's coming themselves.

I'll say one more thing while I'm on this kick--and it employs the same basic concept that I've just described. I think they could easily add things to Adventure Express to make it scary during Haunt hours when it's really dark. Thy could have things light up in the tunnels. Not sure exactly how it would work but I think it could be done.

Just wondering if any one can put up a rating of all the mazes and walk throughs, i work at massacre manor but like to go through other mazes and wandering which ones are good to go through.

I think Massacre Manor's the best one this year... honestly.

I thank you for that but still just wondering if any other mazes are good.(i know club blood must be "good" just by the fact that its a strip club

+Massacre Manor is my favorite, always making me jump. The best scares are in that house.

+Cornstalkers is pretty good this year; longer than last year and an added theme.

+Death Row is the same as usual, very disorienting; a few good pops.

~Trail of Terror always leaves me anticipating a scare, but never follows through. I don't really care for it.

~Tombstone Terror-tory is a fun maze, again my same opinion as the Trail, but I haven't been on it this year.

-The Worksite has a great finish, but other than that...I can't say much about it.

~+Carn-Evil has always been a fun maze for me. I love the heck out of it, but it never scares me! Maybe you just need to have a phobia of clowns. Haven't gone though this year.

~Haven't done Urgentscare.

+Club Blood has never been scary for me...just disgusting. The amount of blood and certain props they use...it's just a very intense maze; always pushing buttons. It's gotten me to jump a few times, but I've been through so many times I know it in and out. It's pretty nice.

+And finally, being apart of the Cemetery, I would rank it pretty high up. It's pretty basic when it comes to the scares; but we do a great job with it. There are a few garuntee pops in the maze, and some really great actors/actresses. It's a huge step up from last year and well worth a visit. Being at the end of the maze, I'm usually hearing positive comments....unless you're a drunk guest, hard-butt teen, or a fearless child. I'm sure the other scare-actors who are reading know what I'm talking about.

Just my honest opinions, and I plan on getting around to the mazes I haven't gone to this year soon.

Ido know what your talking about, drunks are bad this year. Peaple are getting maced, punched and kicked(intentionaly), and thrown up on(personal exp). Not to be cruel but cemetary really didnt scare me all that much. There where a few good ones, but there is so much more potental for that place, the fog is beautiful and lighting even better. Hell it might even be that I work there and just didnt get scared but i give it a 5/10 Sry.

i know what u mean cemetary drive didnt really scare me the fog was good ,though my group couldnt see where they where going ,it was funny. they only really scared me twice some one came up behind me and scared me ,and the guy at the very end made me scream, i was suprised cuz im usually screaming ALL the time:) and they only got me twice id give it a 6/10 cuz the whole mood of it was really quiet and eiry and i was like "omg there gonna get me"

^Well, the Cemetery is a 'different' maze. It's gotten some attention from last year, but in reality, we only have the natural things around us; (Fog, trees, bushes, ect) and the only props we really had were the tombstones. We don't have set up places or sections to work with that are built specifically for scenes like some other mazes. If you looked at us now and compared us to last year, we're doing an amazing job. This year? I think we're pretty good when we have to stand up to Urgent Scare, Massacre Manor, Carn-Evil, and Tombstone.

I'd like to thank all that have contributed by giving reviews of the Cemetery, I really like hearing all sorts of comments and constrictive criticism! I'm have to be completely honest. I'm having the time of my life in I get into costume Friday and Saturday nights. I give it all I got for my maze, and getting people to scream, run away, or cower in fear is my goal. I work with whatever is given to me, and find the places where I get the best scares. I've kind of been sticking to one place in particular as some of you have found out ;) SO...I'm committed to giving the best scares I've got, and it's great hearing feedback on what's working and what's not. So thanks guys! I think we're only going to get better as time goes on; except when the clock gets closer to 1AM, hahaha!

So, I encourage ya'll to stop by the Cemetery this weekend....if you can come, great! If not, well...boo-hoo! I'm coming up with a few new things to improve the maze, I think I can respectively say I'm one of the leaders for the maze and I'm going to try something this weekend. So again, stop by the Cemetery...you might be visited by a certain someone celebrating the 25th anniversary of their death....muahahahha!!!!

I just have to say that we give it our all in Club Blood all through the night. Its hard to reset in the bar from time to time when you have one group come through after another. I also personally try to come from a few different approaches then the standard scar tactics. I've been working haunts for 10 years this year including my first year at 15 at Knotts in California. For those who enjoyed Club Blood come on back promise to get ya again in the bar. For those who didn't enjoy it give us another shot....promise you won't regret it.

Well to let you know about that cloths hallway, thats where I'm at and if you came on a friday then i was was covering that hallway as well as the hallway after that so I was swamped, but if it was a saterday then i dont know, I've scared everyone who comes through there and I am hanging behind the end of the cloths where you said some one should be.

P.S. Stop by manor this weekend and if you dont **** youself then you are really wierd

I honestly do not concur with this diagnosis, so I'm going to schedule you an appointment next weekend for a second opinion...

NICE!!!!! where did you get that? or did you take it?! bring your camera and head outside we'll get some good ones ;)

The knotts one seems to have a better flow from the club to the "vip" area ;) Thats kinda where it comes from. And it would help to maybe have the pregnant one in club gear? just an opinion

Just going back to massacre manor, which part of the place did you like the most or scared you the most, I am trying to get feed back so I can tell every one that I work there with what they need to work on.

Love you in the closet btw. which one are you? I've gone through with 2 of you, and again, i don't get scared, i'm one of THOSE ppl ;) but in the closet when you guys jump in front of me then slink back then get me again at the end is amazing! and whoever the first guy in the completely dark nerf room is gets me every freaking time!!! he just whispers in my ear i swing around and noone! he rocks and i still want to shake his hand. The dining room scenes could get a little more into it, and the jail guys do good too.

Wow, Knott's pretty much took all of KI's Club Blood missing props this year. Ours still looked better, IMO!

Some of Club Blood's things are in Urgent Scare now.

LOL we actually have one of the vampire babies!! i dont know why, but she sits on a med cart, cuz we don't know what to do with her.... maybe i could use her outside.... hmmmm....

I have to agree. Nothing scary about dead awakening-its just a hootchie show. I haven't seen either one this year, but from what I can tell walking by it hasn't changed.

The family park idea is out the window on this.

Shows at Haunts are not meant to be "scary" Look at similar shows at other parks, they don't go for the scare-factor when it comes to live shows. Bill & Ted at Universal focuses on humor and sexiness in dancing at the end. The Hanging at Knott's focuses on humor mostly. Many other parks have magic shows, or story readings.

The family park idea is out the window on this.

Uggh....again, when it comes to Halloween event's like The Haunt, or Halloween Horror Nights, or just your neighbor hood haunted houses...it's not meant to be a "family park" during those hours.
