Skywriter
Glad I could clear up that misunderstanding The fact of the matter is The Beast is not going anywhere because with out it there would be no Son of Beast, wait I take that back if nick things are coming out then The Fairly Odd Coaster could be called The Beast. flightoffear4thtrain
As to saving Que Space, is Firehawk an Example? For the first couple of weeks I saw lines spilling out the ques into the midway and even back to The Racer, but there was definatly a lot more area to build more que. Maybe (And Probably) there were other factors, and if Cedar Point is any example then chances are they're not saving space. It's queue not que. I'm sorry that has just been getting on my nerves lately.....

Touchdown
So if the queue is going to be there, looks like the best way to get there is to go down I-street and take a right past Starbucks into Nick U and then up to the Diamondback enterance. Either way, its going to be a much shorter distance at opening then Fireahawk was, which isnt a good thing. More people will run and there will be an increased chance of someone hurting themselves. Why CF doesn't do a walk back like Disney does is beyond me.
CoastersRZ
They will likely have the security guards escort park guests back to the ride area, so as there is not a running of the bulls so to speak. But then again, I`m still surprised that Cedar Fair hasn`t moved the ropes in the morning to the top of International Street so that guests can buy Starbucks and Cinnabon before the park actually opens at ten. You`d think they could generate some revenue during that time.
Gordon Bombay
Wonder if the path between Backlot and Diamondback will return next year.

Perhaps it takes a guest being seriously trampled and suing before this insane practice is ended?
BavarianBeatle
Sounds like I'm in the minority, but my plan for opening day is to hope everyone sprints to Diamondback while I enjoy short lines on all of my old favorites.....
Beast1979
Wonder if the path between Backlot and Diamondback will return next year. I've heard a ton of people say it will, doesn't make a whole lot of sense not to right? Sounds like I'm in the minority, but my plan for opening day is to hope everyone sprints to Diamondback while I enjoy short lines on all of my old favorites..... Hardly. I will not run back there, I'll head over to things like Invertigo, Delerium, Xtreme Skyflyer, Flight of Fear, Firehawk, all the normally crowded things and then things like Adventure Express, Racer, Beast, then Diamondback! Kawana
Not to mention that I'm not being pessimistic, but rather realistic. Times are hard, money is tight, and the average guest pays about as much attention to plazas and station buildings as they do to toilets...as long as they are functional and preferably clean, they don't even remember them. This is not a time, nor is Cedar Fair a company, to be splurging on such things, given the totality of circumstances. If my experiences with the restrooms this season are any indication, guests care that a toilet is clean before they use it, once the deed is done, they could care less about their fellow park-goer, most times leaving said toilet in such a state of mess, that one will have to find a different restroom. One would hope the many synergies that Mr. Kinzel said would materialize when the Paramount Parks were purchased would be more in evidence. Having just come from Cedar Point, I am much impressed by how differently it is run from the former Paramount Parks even today. Another example? How long has it been since the acquisition? And we STILL see websites at the former CBS parks based on the old CBS/Paramount backbones, and not on Cedar Fair's. Odd, that. Terpy, I asked Don about this and the paraphrased explanation is "CF wants each park to have their 'own online identity.'" I agree that continuity would be better and the sites should no longer be based on the former sites design. June 30, 2006. How long do you think is reasonable to integrate websites? I believe you mean they couldN'T care less, as if they could care less, that would indicate they care some, when it is clear by your telling they care not at all.... I'm shooting for a night ride later that day too. My plan (if i go to Season Pass Preview Night) is to go to Diamondback first. Depending on lines, ill try to get multiple rides in. Then go to SOB and DT. While in Action Zone do; Flight Deck, Delirium, maybe Congo, and i guess Invertigo. Then go towards Octoberfest and ride AE & Viking Fury. Get a few Racer rides in, do FOF & Firehawk. Ride Vortex atleast twice. Maybe Backlot, then dew Crypt, Beast, and do Diamondback the rest of the night! Honestly, if it's only Diamondback open (which i highly doubt it will be) than ill just wait til the official opening day to ride it even if it means waiting in a longer queue. G-Force
I am kind of hoping it is just Diamondback open. And the reason for that is that that will keep the majority of the non-fanatics away from Diamondback, allowing more rides for me! I actually think it will just be Diamondback open, it's Diamondback Preview Day not King's Island Preview Day.
