csikoth
Last season I lost my keys on Firehawk while going through the loop. I was only planning to be there a couple hours and go to work after but turned out to be a full day at the park from 10am-11:30pm.
violakat03
Only thing I've lost is a quarter out of my pocket on Tomb Raider. After that, all changes comes out of my pocket on that ride. My husband, as a child, lost an autographed Houston Astros baseball hat on La Vibora at Six Flags Over Texas. They mailed it back to him at the end of the season. When riding Snake River Falls at Cedar Point, the girl in the row in front of us lost her pink Ohio State hat and my husband's reactions were lightning fast. He snagged it out of the air and handed it back to her at the end of the ride.
gigacoaster2k
I lost several arcade tokens to Invertigo about 7 years ago, some of which hit me in the face as we flipped upside down. This year: I lost a pair of shades to Flight of Fear (they were in my friend's shirt, she pulled them out after the ride and they were in 3 pieces), and I lost 2 pair of shades to Millennium Force. I "lost" a pair of shades to Dragster. I put them in my hoodie pocket, and believe it or not they stayed there throughout the ride, but when I took them out afterward, they were in 2 pieces. violakat03
I lost several arcade tokens to Invertigo about 7 years ago, some of which hit me in the face as we flipped upside down. That makes me laugh. It also reminds me of a story a customer of mine told me back when I was selling cars. He had rolled his SUV and was coming back to buy another one because it protected the family so well - the only injuries sustained were from flying tokens. They were on their way home from an arcade and his daughter had her cup of tokens in the back seat, so when the car rolled, they went everywhere. LongLiveTheSmurfRide
I lost my cell phone once at the park and was hitting every ride we'd gone on up to that point to see if anyone had turned it in. I think we had to go to The Racers, FOF, Vortex and it turns out it slipped out on The Flying Eagles. Had some gooood cell-phone-jostlin' snapping going on that day. The helpful ride-op had it right there for me. Woohoo!
XGatorHead 8904
I lost a hat on Corkscrew, but it was recovered at the end of the day. The funniest (and most expensive) item I lost on a ride... a lens out of my glasses. I had trouble before with it popping out, but it was pretty rare. I rode Face Off with my glasses on, and out pops the lens. I had to walk around the rest of the day with perfect vision in one eye, and very blurred vision in the other. Thrill_Biscuit
Congo Falls "ate" my favorite Cleveland Indians hat back in 07. I underestimated the splash. Never underestimate the splash.
RailRider
Have never lost anything on a ride. Thanks to cargo shorts and an eyeglass strap.
Thrill_Biscuit
^Aerodynamic eyeglasses, of course, right? I forgot that I lost a lens from my glasses on Delirium (I caught it right as it flew out, thankfully). I can't stand it when wind gets in behind my glasses on rides, so for this season I'm getting the kind that keeps the wind out of my eyes. flightoffear1996
I have lost a camera which I got back and a cell phone which I never got back
RailRider
^ Funny you would say that, but for the past 7 years I have worn Nike frames, which are made to fit your face more secure and move very little when doing any activity. Prior to wearing Nike frames I wore Oakley and they were good, but nothing close to what the Nike frames have delivered.
tigellinus
I successfully rode both Delirium and Invertigo with my Bluetooth in my front polo shirt pocket...then rode frontwards Racer immediately after and LOST my Bluetooth! That was opening day 2007, and I haven't been on (red?) Racer since! Other than that nothing much significant except a lot of coins from my back pocket on Behemoth, which did suck because many were Canadian $1 and $2 coins! Then when I buttoned my back pocket (it was previously unbuttoned, which has never been a problem before), coins still flew out, and the ones that didn't created a hole in my back pocket and they fell out anyway going down the exit! Also, as Terpy or anyone else can confirm, on every El Toro ride I have seen something fly off someone on my train! Two cell phones flew into my back row seat, and I've seen entire shirts fly off guys making them topless pulling into the station...it honestly seems unsafe that something could easily be on the tracks and in a train's path!? FOFirehawkFAN
I saw this amusement park special once on Discovery Channel and they asked one of the park services guys what the weirdest thing he ever found that fell off a coaster was, and he said a Glass Eye! Tomkatt7
a couple of the "spinney" rides have caused me to lose my lunch!!! Does that count? LOL
CoastersRZ
I HIGHLY doubt that El Toro has caused shirts to come off of people from just riding the ride, if the shirt was being worn properly. There is a reason why parks warn guests to secure all loose articles. In addition to guests becoming mad for loosing their articles on the ride, the objects could be come projectiles on the ride that could injure other riders. And in the State of Ohio, which has rider responsibility laws, failing to abide by all posted and verbalized warnings (including those related to loose articles) is in violation of the law. 74Gibson
I have never lost anything on a ride but last year Maverick really did a number on a pair of sunglasses I had in my pocket. Luckily though, I had forgotten my Oakleys at home and stopped at a gas station for some cheapies.
hamoperator
While riding Raptor with Peanut last year, I lost my cell phone! A Nextel; when we alerted it to find it, it was heard then spotted at the top of the ride, about 1 foot from the edge of the grated area edge! Another foot and it would have been smashed hitting the concrete. After the park closed, we went back to Raptor and a nice supervisor went to the top and climbed out then scooted down and retrieved it... He went above and beyond the call of duty to get me that phone back.

specialk141
when i was in about 12 or 13... so mid nineties, a friend and i were spending the day at ki while our parents took in tennis across the street, and i lost my tamogtatchi to The Beast. (sp) anybody remember those things? my mother was ticked off. it was nearly brand new, and i had begged her to buy one for me since everyone else i knew had one. haha it was so trendy back then! standbyme
I lost my wallet with credit cards, season pass & cash. In today's world I didn't have much faith that anyone would turn it in...at least with the cash still in it...I was totally shocked when I went to Customer Service at the end of the day and it was there, cash included. My mood shifted from depressed to ecstatic in seconds. It was nice to find that not only were there still honest people left in the world...but I was fortunate enough that it was one of them that had found my wallet...what were the odds? Hank
I lost a souvenir cup (not a freebee but one I purchased) on The Beast's loading platform - someone took it! Other than that, I lost my cookies on Der Spinner Kegs. Oh!!!! -- I lost a girlfriend on The Racer - she didn't like the ride and didn't like me for MAKING her go on it, so when we exited the ride, she exited my life and took-up with another friend of mine (we went with a group of 8). I believe their relationship lasted until Top Gun (now Flight Deck)!
Thrill_Biscuit
Dang that's sad! You oughta sell that story to Nashville! I know it's painful, but I think it would make a great country song! "Roller Coaster Heartache..."

DropZone99
I have never lost anything on a coaster, but one time at CP a few years ago my camera almost fell out of my pocket on the first hill after the main overbank. And on Firehawk's opening day me and and a few people were walking from the main queue to the station and a train was going through the egg turn and some one's flip flop fell off them and a little girl caught it! PhantomTheater
I lost a pair of sunglasses on Raptor a few years ago, last year I was attacked by mantis' restraint and broke another pair. A near loss of a winter hat on corkscrew happened, it got blown off my head an luckily landed in the car behind me.

Contacts are much easier.. though one of them started fluttering on MF and they blew to the sides for a second on TTD in the front seat..
