The Cedar Point commercial, in my opinion, wasn`t all that bad. The Geauga Lake commercial, on the other hand, yikes!

I think it was just my first impression on the music of the CP commercial that makes me hate it...the first time i saw it on channel 3 i thought they were saying "get away get away get away from me"

I think I've seen Kings Island commercials with the same music.

Yes the second one is pretty bad. The guy sounds sad or frightened at the end.

The worst commercial for an amusement park I've ever seen was for Palace Playland in Maine. Just cheap. Had a gross-looking clown just standing in front of a blue screen, waving like she's trying to catch a cab in Manhattan, with video clips of disappointed-looking kids on a marry-go-round or something, and unattractive beach goers eating greasy looking food, etc. flashing by in the background. They've probably gotten a new one by now, but it was pretty bad.

I never see KI commercials in Indy but I see CP, GL, SFGAm, HW, IB, SFKK, and SFStl commercials! I had a dream last night about a Diamondback commercial! It said very little about Diamondback, they just said "New for 2009 is the brand new Diamondback! But who cares about that!? We have a used over rated Vekoma, Come ride Firehawk!" Very odd...

I only have seen KI commercials very few times. I remember seeing a few "Get Away" Style ones 08 season, 07 I didn't see any, I remember seeing Boomerang Bay concept ones and ones advertising Backlot.

They did the same one for Kings Island this past year. I absolutely can not stand that commercial. The description the guy gives of the heat makes me cringe, like fingers on a chalkboard.

I guess you weren't watching the right channels then?? In 07 there were KI Ride Warriors commercials and the "Fly like a plane" Firehawk commercials...I saw them most on both channel 4 (CW/WTTV) and 59 (Fox) particularly during their afternoon syndication programming like Still Standing/What I Like About You or Simpons/Seinfeld on Fox, and during CW primetime programming like Gossip...you couldn't miss 'em!!

I'll be interested to see the 09 Diamondback commercials in the Indy market!! Needless to say D-back awareness in Indy is zilch at the moment, and come May many Indy'ers when they see the new KI commercials will be like WTF???

That animated commercial was one of the best! Nowhere near as bad as the GL family commercial. I can remember a commercial for KI that featured Dick Van Dyke that was a bit cheesy. It was back in the 70s.
