When you enter the area of "Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle" you will first see a gated entrance with the ride sign overhead. This entrance is farthur to the left that the former Phantom Theatre entrance gate. You will cross the bridge, then go down that curving staircase and then enter the building where the queue line will reside. The midway in front of Phantom Theatre/Scooby is higher than the level at which you enter the queue building. For PT, you walked a short path that gradually descended down to the building entrance. For Scooby you will walk down that curving staircase.

There is no longer an oustide path like Phantom Theatre.

I think you are right about that being a control room, and if you think about it, its good reasoning to put it close to the ride, for probably several reasons. First off, when the ride ops go to unload the ride, if the building is cl,ose, they won;t have to walk as far. if they had to walk further, it would probably slow down the capacity of the ride, and I'm sure PKI wants to keep the capacity on that ride as high as possible. Secondly, it also means they don't have to run hundreds of extra feet of cable. If the control room is close to the ride, hen all they have to do is run the controlling cables to the base and into the room, thus saving some money, and the pain of running additional wires. I am thinking to, that Delirium, is very large, and the pictures that have been posted, don't do it justice. It wouldn't surprise me if its sheer size, took up most of the footprint that KC used to occupy, which would mean, that control room would have to be close to the ride.

It takes up about half the footprint of King Cobra.

The building you see is not only the operators booth, but also is a queue house of sorts. The line will have a normal queue outdoors, but just before reaching the ride load area, the queue line will go through this building.

The que enters under the swing on the side nearest to Festhaus, It then heads right towards the Sling Shot. There will be wrap-around queues in the space between the Sling Shot and the ride itself. As I said a second ago, the line then wraps through the house and up to the load platform.

Man, I hope that the otudoor queue is covered at least somewhat, like TR:TR's queue to help shade you from the sun. The other thought is, I don't really want to get yacked on by anyone on Delirium who gets a little ill on this ride. Hope they have thought of everything, and we aren't baking in the sun, or whatever else may come.

Actually, the black around the outside of the building is sheathing. usually they use this type of fiber board, or plywood to sheath houses. This type of fiber, is cheaper than plywood, but holds up just as well, and walls can be factory built with the stuff attached, and then shipped to the site for faster building, rather than constructing each wall on site. The thing should still get some type of Tyvek wrap as a moisture barrier, unless it is already on, and then the insulation will go on the inside between the studs, before they put up drywall or whatever on the inside.
