keiko_coaster
Ok... So i went to Myrtle Beach last week for my brother's spring break. So this is my trip report. Its going to take me a while to finish it, so itll be coming in sections lol.. ENJOY! BTW IF YOU WANT TO USE ANY PIC PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND ILL GET YOU A COPY OF IT! Thanks DAY 1: We left at about 2 PM to drive to Knoxville, TN so we'd be about half way to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was miserable weather and raining the entire drive. Stopped at Olive Garden for dinner, had the Mezzaluna with grilled chicken (quite yummy ). Then we went to "the best mall in Knoxville" and it really did live up to its name. The stores in that mall were twice the size of the ones in Cincinnati DAY 2: We left at about 8 AM to finish up the drive. There were cows outside our hotel moo-ing all night so that sucked. We stopped at McDonalds for lunch. Arrived at our hotel after an issue with our GPS because there are two hotels at the same address, just different parts of Myrtle Beach. Took pictures at the beach and then for dinner wewent to the mexican restraunt across the street. I still believe they have the best quesadillas ever!! The cows at the hotel Lots of Sea gulls everywhere you walk View outside of our hotel In total there were: 3 hottubs, 2 regular pools, and 2 lazy rivers at the hotel Nighttime at the beach So many shells outside But it wasnt all that warm.. Myrtle Beach actually reached a record low.. This was completely frozen

keiko_coaster
DAY 3: Day three we went to Ripley's Aquarium. It's not the largest aquarium but its quite nice. Petting tank so you can touch the horse-shoe crabs and also a tank where you can touch sting rays. I absoutely love aquariums and have been to way too many lol. The newest exhibit they put in: Inside is an actual baby tiger shark Over the shark tank: The dive show: After Ripley's Aquarium we went to Giant Crab for Dinner. Its a sea-food buffett with over 120 items so theres quite a lot of variety.. Quite expensive though $30 pp... And i dont eat seafood... I just liked the Crab on the front of the restraunt
keiko_coaster
DAY 4: Quite uneventful day. We went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, i had the twisted mac n cheese, which is grilled chicken and macaroni and cheese. Very good!.. And then me and my brother went to go see Fired up! DAY 5: Today we went to Broadway at the Beach to shop. It was pretty much like ghost-town. Very quite. After shopping, we went to Senor Frogs to eat lunch, I had the lettuce chicken wraps, which were AMAZING!! And then for dinner it was Margaritville. Not the best service, told we would be waiting for 10-15 minutes, yet it took over 35 minutes to be seated. I had the club sandwich. They walk around the restraunt there holding signs and i got the: I am available sign haha. Every hour a bottle comes out of the hurricane and fills up the blender beneath it
keiko_coaster
DAY 6: Finally started to warm up. Went to Pizza Hut for lunch. Got the Pizza Hut Buffett, it was one on the worst buffetts ever. There was ABSOLUTELY NO PIZZA on the buffet. People kept having to go up and ask them to make more. Went to Tanger Outlets to go shopping. Then went to Friendly's for ice cream. No service, sat there for 20 minutes with no help, finally moved and got some help. Funny thing is the lady in the front trying to sell amusement tickets. We walked in and she asked,"Are you guys on vacation?" we said yes and continued in. When we were leaving she asked us the same thing and we said, "Yep! STILL on vacation!" Sorry. I dont have any pictures from today. But Day 7 has so many pictures so get ready! DAY 7: Alligator Adventures. I have been there 4 times already. There are so many alligators there its crazy. So enjoy some pictures . After that we went to House of Blues for dinner, some of the best BBQ ribs i've ever had. And then went shopping at barefoot landing for the last night. Beavers! This is Bob. He was born without a tail so he must be kept in his own personal private exhibit. GOT GATORS? THE END! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY PTR TO MYRTLE BEACH! Diamondback FOF
Very nice trip report! Did you get to swim in the ocean or pool or was it just too cold for it?
keiko_coaster
Very nice trip report! Did you get to swim in the ocean or pool or was it just too cold for it? Ocean was way too cold. I walked in it though. I was always at the indoor pools/hottubs. There was 1 hottub, 1 pool, 1 lazy river outside but inside there was 2 hottubs, 1 pool and 1 lazy river. I liked swimming inside. The last day i did go in the outdoor hottub as well as sunbathe outside. When we left it was about 70. But on one of the days it was record low for Myrtle Beach. tigellinus
Good PTR! I haven't been to MB in quite a while now! Btw, why no pics of a vacant HRP?? Then we went to "the best mall in Knoxville" and it really did live up to its name. The stores in that mall were twice the size of the ones in Cincinnati By chance do you remember the name of what mall this was??

tigellinus
^^It's ok...taking pictures of a closed park isn't exactly a good vacation activity anyway! So you didn't go through North Carolina, did you? i.e. South of the Boarder FEC with a Wild Mouse!!

gigacoaster2k
That is so awesome that you had a chance to go down there. I would have never left the beach.. I could sit on the sand all day long and just listen to the seagulls' plaintive cries, and the waves washing against the shore. I've never heard anything more calming than that. The Interpreter
Attack? That doesn't bother me nearly as much as the idea of them making airborne deposits on Terpy's head. An occasion that has happened twice in this life so far, both times in the parking lot at Cedar Point!

IndyGuy4KI
Thanks for sharing. The last time I was there I spent so much time in the water and did not sun screen my bottom lip, and it swelled up about 3 times the size the next morning. Hurt a lot and spend most of the day holding ice on it... Make sure you don't forget to sun screen your lips as well. I know you would not think they would get burned, but I learned the hard way. The sun blocker chap stick seems to work well. I have not had the issue since? I forget to put any on most of the time. Although, it was like the 4th day of spending 4 to 5 hours in the water when it happened.
