Return_of_Yogi
It is human nature to like to be scared search deep into our hearts and souls and find the one terrifying thing that makes us cringe and goosebumps crawl all over our bodys, the little sounds at night or the man in the window when your sleeping. It's the sound of a million dark clowns lauing at you or the watchfull eyes of a being unkown to all but you.........That's why we have Fearfest, the spirit of All Hallows Eve, A night for people to come and enjoy being scared, eatch attraction plays on a fear, each moment a new scream.......... On that Note what would you like to see happen this year with fearfest, whats your biggest fear that could be provoked and turned into an allstar attraction........ StXBomber
I want to see the return of the celebrity slaughter. I would make a great dead Harry Potter, lol
italianchef
I hate to say it, but I thought that celebrity slaughter was tasteless and disgusting. If they put up someone dressed like an infamous criminal, I can understand why people would yell "kill him". However, when ordinary people get up there and folks yelled "kill him/her" just for fun - I was quite turned off. One of my worst fears is to get ecoli food poisinging AGAIN because I got it twice when I lived in Asia - and let me say that it could've happened here or anywhere. I don't know how they could theme ecoli unless they built a giant toilet and made it a walk through haunted house with bad smells and people dressed up in monster Mr. Hanky costumes. FOF
What did you expect with the celebrity slaughter, especially with WEBN doing it.
StXBomber
all I can say is, Martha Stewart does need to be killed, lol Also, harry potter needs to be killed too, even if its at my expense
Return_of_Yogi
Now thats entertainment...................not I worked the show and it was not tastefull, I hear it will not be back.
StXBomber
Oh well. I didn't see it last year, so I didn't know it was that bad. (I do look like harry potter though, and I do think harry potter is annoying)
Return_of_Yogi
Mine is being alone, so I think that in one attraction you should be forced to go in 1 by 1, in a long black corridor, nothing around you , or so you think. As they say the mind can play terrible trix when your alone.................

italianchef
Brother Yogi and I wanted to discuss what NEW and EXCITING things would come about for the next FearFest. Unfortunately, some folks of strict religious belief took umbrage at our interest and enjoyment of FearFest. HEY WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK ABOUT MY IDEA OF AN ECOLI ATTRACTION??????????? A haunted house shaped like a giant toilet with evil Mr. Hankys (South Park) running around???? Does that sound scary or just gross?
Return_of_Yogi
ummm did you get the memo, we here have decided that that is just gross. I think something involving thje beast could really turn some heads.

CYoung2003
my "fearfest experiences" have been pretty much working. so i dont really know what all they have to offer. i came in 2000 when i was a guest but that was one night and all we did was ride rides. 2001 i was there 1 night and i worked at dropzone. and in 2002, i was pretty much at dropzone all fearfest nights except the second one where i was at Flight of Fear. Mrs. G.
I love Fearfest!! 2001 was my favorite and a time I will always remember, what a welcome diversion to the events of the day. It seemed like 2002 was toned down quite a bit and I was disappointed by that - do you know why? I loved the blacklights and the fog in Coney Maul and the haystacks and ghosts in the path next to the Flying Eagles and so much was gone last year. As a parent I get to have double fun watching my kids get scared. I especially love the characters who walk around and chase people (is it coincidence that most of the targets are teenage girls?) - one made my night last year, standing behind my daughter mimicking her, she had no idea he was there until we all cracked up. I love the whole atmosphere, I love being at Kings Island in the fall!, I love riding The Beast when it's pitch black, my kids love watching the zombies walk around.... As far as the deepest darkest fear, I think fear is used in a good way here and should stay that way, as in fantasy. The old standbys are still the best - Frankenstein, wolfman, mummy, vampires - we have enough to be scared of in real life these days. Not very original but I'm not very creative - I just love the old time monsters of the black and white movies, the fog, the lightning...the themes from the old horror movies. Unless we can think of a good Halloween costume for SpongeBob.
teenageninja
I hope this FearFest is a lot more scary and actually brings out Fears. I wasn't actually scared this year it just made me jump. I wish they would have the hay path, but it was really messy and it smelled HORRIBLE. The stench ruined just a normal day at the park. I just hope they theme the coasters. I think adding fog to The Beast and maybe some noises in the woods lights and such.
Mrs. G.
Really? I liked the haystacks, I especially liked that you couldn't get to The Beast without passing through there, and I didn't smell a thing. Maybe it was because we went the second weekend, maybe I'm just too used to Chicago smog. I was extremely disappointed last year. Never enough to keep me from coming back, but it just wasn't the same as 2001. Again, maybe that's because we went early in October (have to use Columbus day holiday for travel) and the night we went it was like 60 degrees and packed, but so many of the special effects were missing... I would love to see fog (it's usually pretty foggy in those woods anyway) or lights in The Beast woods, especially on the second lift, put the old Phantom Theatre guys up there or something to see you over the hill. "Sliders?" Thanks for the term, my daughters use "crazy guys." That looks like a lot of fun but rough on the knees!!!
teenageninja
I doubt it would be hard on the knees at all they have very VERY thick knee pads.
Return_of_Yogi
actually they are just like rollerblading knee pads `and it kills your knees, most people can only do it 1 or two years without gaining knee problems, not to mention back problems. Beastfreak
Pretty sure the hay path from Vortex to The Beast was taken out because little teenagers thought it was fun to try and light the stuff on fire. I hated it being there in the stand point of having to drive around the park at night to pick up laundry from food stands and register bags. Its already late enough after fear fest and we had to drive all the way back up to the Eifel Tower and then back down just to go a short distance to the next stand. Maybe if they had it like in a different area it would be cool, but not blocking a main path.
Dane
The House of Horrors was done VERY VERY well. That was the only one that was interestiong. And if its tasteless and gross, I'm there!
Dino2003
I will tell you all my opinion for fearfest....i disliked fearfest alot...it was tastless...and a waste of money....BRING BACK WINTER FEST....i say that because....i would rather see PKI in December than in october because...in December i have Coaster withdrawl and i would like to see the new rides being built!
italianchef
Dino, I propose a compromise. How about keep FearFest for folks like me who enjoy it - and by the way, the roller coasters operate during FearFest. And we can bring back WinterFest for you? Heck, I'll help PKI prepare Christmas dinner if they'd like me to. Deal?????
Scooby_Doo
Hehe Dino Funny! anywho i did and didnt like fearfest...of course i like riding the coasters in mid October! i didnt like how they showed clips of scary movies that was too much for me! i just didnt like that...iam okay with going thought haunted houses and having fun! knowing me.. i will do just bout anything for a friend OR FOOD iam scooby doo!after all!
