Justin_M17 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This may be a stupid question but i've never been to the park on opening day before so I don't know. I know that Boomerang Bay probably won't open until later in the year, but will Congo Falls and WWC be open tomorrow? It'd be nice to know whether or not I should pack a change of clothes for these rides ^^ Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 That's something that you may have to find out on Saturday morning. I know in the past all of the dry park water rides had opened with the park except WWC. Quote
Atomheartmother616 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yeah last year it was funnt that the falls were even open on days you needed a thick coat, and people were riding. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ^ THose are the kids that either want to call in sick at school or work the next few days. Quote
Atomheartmother616 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yeah we werw in shock that paents allowed their kids to ride, I believe it was in October but we went so many times I am not certain. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Being cold does not cause colds or illness (other than hypothermia). Viruses and bacteria do.... Quote
Atomheartmother616 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yeah thats the concensus but from personal experience drastic changes in body temperature rapidly stress the immune system which is not a healthy practice. Quote
KI-ORIG-EMP Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 In my years at the park, young kids do not care how cold it is when it comes to water rides or Boomerang Bay. One weekend working BB wh"en it was cold, I saw a kid just enjoying himself in the water while the life guard, wearing a coat out side the water must had been thinking, "Don't even make me go in there after you! " Quote
teenageninja Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think that Congo Falls and Thornberries will be open, WWC is doubtful I'd say. Quote
sgshredder33 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I went during the last weekends of the haunt and Wild Thornberries was open. That's all i know Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I completely, totally agree. In fact, hopefully the elephant has gone on a permanent vacation to Africa. Quote
Justin_M17 Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 What's wrong with the elephant? o.o Quote
LongliveKingsCobra Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 YOu don't get wet till that darn elephant sprays you! Quote
Justin_M17 Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 Isn't getting wet the whole point of a water ride? Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I rode White Water Canyon opening day 2008, yeah not the best idea lol. (it was very cold) Quote
TheCryptRaider Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I was there today, to get my pass, and they said on the sign WWC, Congo Falls, Action Theater and Scrambler were all closed. Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hmm and they also were Nov. 2nd... They just haven't updated them, don't worry. Quote
Jamesv7 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Isn't getting wet the whole point of a water ride? Yes and it is fun as hell watching the people that for some reason don't know it is there. Quote
