What's up with Firehawk

Featured Replies

For the second trip, I did not get to ride Firehawk. Today we got there at 10:15 and it was down. Came back a couple hours later, still down. Around 2:00 we were up in the Eiffel Tower and saw it running and people in the queue, so we headed over there, but by the time we got there again it was down and this time they said it would not re-open today.

So what is up with this bird and will I ever get to ride it?

To be brutally honest, I think Firehawk is a mediocre ride at best and the wait is always far too long for me to want to ride it... That being said, I hope they get it fixed soon whatever the problem is.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago we went to go ride it and I guess we had just got there as soon as it opened back up because the line was really short surprisingly and the queue wasnt even full and everyone was moving and hadnt even reached the stoppage point yet. Firehawk is a must ride for me when I go to KI, the ride experience is amazing.

Yes, Firehawk has a load of problems but is a great ride, I have to ride it everytime I go.

Firehawk was up and down on Friday, but I got to ride it eventually. Over the weekend it had a few hiccups too. Over all the reliability of the ride is pretty good so you'll be able to ride sooner than later for sure!!!

its a great ride great addition to the park,,,,hope they get the hiccups fixed. Love the feeling of the ride......and the name.

I saw it running with two trains for the first time yesterday after it was down. It was around 2 and I was on The Racer watching it. The line, to my surprise, was short.

When it was X-Flight at Geauga Lake, the line for it was long at times.

Does anyone know whats causing these problems? I've been lucky enough to ride it twice this year already but this sunday it was pretty much down all day long. Whats wrong with it?

Usually, those that do know what the problem is. Can not speak of such problems.

As a Firehawk worker, I will just say there was a minor tech issue, The head honchos decided it would be best to shut own for the day. If any one has any questions about the ride, feel free to message me anytime.

I have seen a few times when the piece of track leading into the station( the one that flips for each train) not work, causing an e-vac.

Alright, i removed the prevosly shown post for an undisclosed reason. I apologize to all who know why and to all others, just know that Firehawk is a great ride, it just has its moments if you know what I mean

Firehawk Fanatic: As a worker you should know that we are not allowed to tell guests what is wrong with the ride, so it's probably not a good idea to be posting that information on a site that is mainly frequented by guests.

To answer your question, it will be down probably for a couple of weeks. But should be back up and running soon.

Every ride has its moments. But the crypt has his wayyy to often.

^Yeah I think the crypt just has one giant continuous "moment."

I disagree, it should be back up by this friday, They wouldnt keep one of there most popular rides down for more than 1 day and that one day was last sunday

I'll just post this again in complete agreement.

Alright all, From what I have heard these last 24 hours, Firehawk should be up and operational this weeked and hopefully we wont have nearly as much down time.

Well, you can expect that. It's susposed to rain till Sunday. Im going saturday no matter the weather and I might also go on Sunday.

I haven't ridden Firehawk this year either. It's always either broken or has a long line due to 1 train operation. I refuse to wait more than 20 minutes for it. I've ridden it probably 3 times before and have been completely unimpressed with it and do not find it to be worth a long wait.

Plus I've been so spoiled by all the short wait times I've experienced this year (8 walk-on rides on Voyage, short Friday lines on Diamondback, 8 non-stop laps on Flight of Fear during ERT, etc) that I just can't handle a 30+ minute long wait for any ride anymore.

Well I hate to tell you but this weekend is probably going to be nothing but waits. With the weather we will most likley be running one side and the line will move farilry slowly

But with the weather, no one will be there.

True, but if the weather is bad enough, even without lightning, we will still have to close. Not that I am complaining. LOL
