BoddaH1994 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 As reported by Kings Island's Twitter, the Gold Season Pass deal has been expanded through May 31st at midnight. Quote
Oldiesmann Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Can't say I didn't see it coming. Didn't they do the same thing last year? Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Yes. Right after a conference call making fun of Paramount Parks for not maintaining pricing integrity...Of course, times are very different now... Quote
jondrewfoo Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 rediculous. i know this is all about business and making money, but id rather not have it extended. the less people with gold passes the more benefits you will have for the morning ERT... ugh. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 The number of Gold Season Passes sold between May 24th and 30th compared to August 2008 and May 24th is drops in a bucket. Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Not to mention the pass sale has been extended at some parks, like California's Great America, to July 3! Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Bump...remember this is the last day to buy gold season passes at Kings Island.... Tonight at midnight + 1 second, gold is slated to go away... Prices for other offerings may increase... Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Think about that for a minute...if they did that, people who already bought would be furious...and many would demand refunds or possibly even think of litigating. I doubt very much the price will decrease...it may stay the same, they may increase it slightly and add some new perk, or do something else, but I cannot imagine the price decreasing. Once gold is no longer offered, parking will be available only for a fee, and season parking may or may not be available at all... Quote
Touchdown Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 ^Wont Season Parking will still be offered, provided you go Platinum? Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Platinum will doubtless continue to be offered and does include parking. At what price platinum will be offered remains to be seen. Regular Kings Island passes will require you to purchase season's parking (as Mr. K would call it), if it is available. The website currently calls that a $39.99 value.... Quote
