Diamondback's All-Clear horn

Featured Replies

It was brought up in Tom's birthday meet-up thread that many people have never heard Diamondback's all-clear horn. This is the horn that is sounded after the coaster is stopped for any amount of time to warn anyone in the vicinity to clear the tracks. Yesterday when it was down for a minor mechanical problem, I got a very clear recording of the horn when the ride started back up and I thought I'd share it on here for everyone that hasn't gotten to hear it yet.

WARNING: This sound clip is VERY LOUD. Turn the sound on your computer almost all the way down. I had mine on level 7 (out of 100) and could still hear it perfectly.

You rock. I couldn't figure out how to embed it without using html tags (which don't work on the forums).

When I hear that every morning the first thing that always comes to mind is from being at alot of hockey games, that someone just scored a goal.

Thanks Kat (and Oldiesmann)! I never thought about the coasters having horns, but it does make sense that they would.

is that able to be heard all the way back by the hammerhead, because i know that on the tenth there wasn't a horn sounded, but there was a maintnance man walking around back by the hammerhead.

I have to listen to that thing every morning when I get to the park LOL...you can hear it througout the park.....

^Hahahaha, I was thinking some what of the same thing: "Will you people wait till I get away from the 2 inch hydraulic lines, jees just give me a little time." (well that and a couple of choice words.) Those Ka people were and still are a little impatient.

I always get there early enough to hear that horn. I even heard it on opening day. I thought it was just a fun announcement that the first train of the day was going up on the park's newest coaster, to get people excited.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Ka's horn sounds the same. I had just gotten out of my car when I heard Ka's and I was like "Diamondback?!"

I can definitely imagine it got very annoying very fast when it sounded for each launch. That sucker is loud!
