Oh really? Then where is the value of this post? Because I fail to see it.

I am anxious to see what Cedar Point adds. I really hope it's a roller coaster, a replacement for Snake River Falls (One of the rumors going around) would be extremely disappointing, especially for Cedar Point.

One of the responses on the Facebook page is calling for a 505 ft Intamin.

200' = Hyper

300' = Giga

400' = Strata

500' = ?????

as cool as that would be, knowing that the ceo of Cedar Fair says ttd was a mistake pretty much tells you that that would not happen. unless it would be possible to just make ttd taller... is that even feasible? i wouldnt think so...

It isn't the height that caused the problem with TTD, it is the launch. While a full circuit coaster of would have it's own issues, I can see it being done and if anyone is going to do it, CP will be the one.

It isn't because there are enough problems with the launch already. It would have to launch even faster to get it 80+ feet higher.

If they build a 500 footer, I doubt it will be a launch. It is seeming likely that the new giga at KD will be a vertical lift. If they can make that work for 300' + ft, I doubt it would be that much harder to engineer to 500'. I personally see them taking out SRF and maybe even CCMR.

What ever they do, 2010 is going to be a great year. KD, CarW, HW, CP & KW all with speculation of new major rides.

I dont think the water ride takes enough space to build a record breaking coaster.

Think about it. At this time in 2002 supports were going up for TTD. Do you think it would be even earlier for a 500'?

And where does Cedar Point have the room for a 500' coaster? They would have to start wrecking before even thinking about the supports.

There is quite a bit of space on Millennium Island. Add that to SRF & CCMR you would have plenty of room. Another thought would be an Intamin AquaTrax. I think of other parks that have creatively squeezed so excellent coasters in when they seemed to have not space. Kennywood & Indiana Beach both come to mind.

...and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, among still others....

I haven't been there oh great Terpy.

Cedar Point is hardly out of room! People like to think that each coaster needs their own plot of land plus some. Look at Indiana Beach. Who would have thought that they could squeeze 6 coasters onto that spit of Boardwalk, and make them good rides at the same time!

There is always up, around, and over my friends.

Maybe it will be the Wrold largest Kiddie Coaster standing at a record breaking 8 ft tall it is only 1 foot taller then KI's Little Bill's Giggle Coaster Are you a RIDE WARRIOR?

That would be funny to see that

Actually, LBGC is 8eight feet tall.

And, who has the worlds tallest kiddie coaster?

I believe it is in New Jersey. Kingda Ka.

Oh, how do you define kiddie coaster?

Your definition works for me. But since Ka is down, wouldn't that go to TTD instead :P
