coaster_junky Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 ^they've modified/changed the trains twice, once they removed the last car of each of the old pct trains and then when they switched over to the gerstlauer trains.
Beast1979 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 The old trains were Premier, and can be seen regularly at Halloween Haunt.
The Interpreter Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Son of Beast never ran PTC's. It had Premier Rides trains.
hausty1983 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I just hope something is solved and they can finally can decide what to do with SOB those trains currently do look so small for a roller coaster that size and the Premier trains terp were the problem with SOB before weren't they because of the weight of them or what?
The Interpreter Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 The park has stated many times that the reason the Gerstlauers were installed is because they are much lighter in weight. The relative heaviness of the Premier Rides trains was certainly not a plus on this particular installation.
The Interpreter Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Yes, they do. The gage was specifically modified to fit the track.
CedarPointer Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 You can step on the actual track while boarding and exiting... I guess it's the part underneath that fits?
maverick2007 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 The old trains were Premier, and can be seen regularly at Halloween Haunt. Where can you see them at HH?
KIfan1980 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They don't even fit the track! Random question - is the Blue train, train 1 or 2?
maverick2007 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Did SOB even run a second blue train?
maverick2007 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 ^^^ So therefore it is train number 1
The Interpreter Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 That is not the question. There are currently two trains...one red, one blue. One is one, the other is two. Which is blue?
maverick2007 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Oh sorry I read this as "is this the blue train #1 or #2"
BavarianBeatle Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They don't even fit the track! Random question - is the Blue train, train 1 or 2? Based on that photo the answer is....Yes!
Zimma937 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I been coming here all my life. And this past season (09) i seen SOB run like 4 days out of the whole year and it cost more to let it just sit there and rot away then to tear it down and put up something that will bring in more guests or they just need to restructure it and open it back up
RWildman424 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They don't even fit the track! Random question - is the Blue train, train 1 or 2? Based on that photo the answer is....Yes! That would be a picture of Car 1 on Train 2.

That would be a picture of Car 1 on Train 2. who has a picture of the front of the red train? If Ty had every weathervane in the park ...
AgentSoB Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 From the KI Insider Blog... it appears that the red train has no number on the front http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e6DmX3i-ePM/Sgc6...kend%2B2009.jpg
SonofBeast07 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 here are the old trains and here is red train
CedarPointer Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Are there only three cars on that train?
AgentSoB Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I miss those old trains... not necessarily the ride the gave, but for the decals. I think it was one of the better train schemes.
CedarPointer Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They do look much nicer than the current ones. Couldn't CF have put decals on the new ones?
AgentSoB Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 It was nice because they actually gave the ride a story... If you look on the side of the train in the old picture it says PSV 1.5 (PSV 1 before they shortened them). The PSV stands for Perimeter Surveillance Vehicle. The story was riders boarded their own PSV to journey to outpost 5 (Adventure Express speil anyone??) to search for a mysterious creature that had escaped from a nearby holding crate. Once riders embark on their journey they realize the mysterous beast has captured them and takes them on the ride of their life. Using a quick edit and a picture taken by our very on ViolaKat you can see here the logo on the side of the station.
SonofBeast07 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I wish they would bring that theming back again
CedarPointer Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I wish they would at least ATTEMPT to bring the theming back.
Diamondback FOF Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 and here is red train Is that a recent picture (like from last week or last weekend after they were supposedly testing SOB)?
