Fear the Four
I saw some tents up in a grassed area at the park like people were camping. It was next to Diamondback and Flashback toatally 80's. Why were people doing this? I was so confuzed when I saw this.

frisbeefan
How busy is the park on those days? I'm planning a trip to Kings Dominion and the Boy Scout Jamboree is going on. Is it a waste of time to go there during that?
CoastersRZ
Well, remember that the Camp-O-Ree at Kings Island last year was held on a weekend in the middle of summer. And, it is different than the Boy Scout Jamboree that I presume is being held at Kings Dominion. Several years ago, Coney used to be home to the Cincinnati Boy Scout Jamboree (and the rides were open for that day). But Coney hasn`t hosted that event in several years now. frisbeefan
I think the Jamboree is held for two weeks at KD, so I'm hoping that the crowds won't be too bad.
Coney Islander
My troop goes to this event, but I'm never among them. Kings Island's recent price rises have done well keeping me away... Maybe I will get a pass for the 2011 season... maybe. I'll be sure to ask some of my friends what the even is like, and post the information here. kerry1150
Do they do this for Girl Scouts also? If so, does anyone have a link, my daughters troop would love it!
Justin_M17
I'm fairly sure this is only for boy scouts. Almost makes me wish I was still in the scouts...
CincyMan98
I'm mad I quit Boy Scouts now. Grr.
Coney Islander
^I'm sure you're not too late. Cub Scouts cross over to boy scouts at 12 years in age, and the crossover happens in late March. If you're looking for a good Boy Scout Troop, look up Troop 112 in eastern Cincinnati. We have over 75 scout members (the largest in Cincinnati), and we go camping once or twice a month. (Even in the cold winter months.)
shark6495
yea i quit cub scouts (mainly because i thought it was dumb, I painted a prayer rock... a rock you put under your pillow so when you go to sleep you hit your head and remember to pray.... blah) but then I joined boy scouts when I was like 12 or 13.... I got my eagle scout. Best thing I have ever done. If you join scouts for one camp out, please stay for a few more. I promise you, that you will get more out of scouts than what you put in..... Coney Islander
By the end of this summer, I'll be an Eagle Scout, as well. My project is in May, and I'm excited. And I only had one year of cub scouts...
CincyMan98
Wait so they allow you to carry on with what you've started? That would be awesome!
