BoddaH1994
I have just been informed of the following: Kings Island will NOT be closing at 6:00p and reopening at 7:00p on the days where Halloween Haunt occurs on Saturdays and Sundays this October. Also, special VIP tour packages, similar to the current VIP tours, will be available during the Haunt festivities but will have some different benefits than what is available now. Details to come. Gabe
I expected this move for quite some time, based on previous years. Glad they're way out ahead of the curve on this one.
XGatorHead 8904
Yes! They came to their senses! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The way they've been doing it for years has worked fine. Glad to see they're back to doing it the same way. It would have been a logistical nightmare making everyone exit and having those going to HH re-enter. kjkjkj
That's good that they decided to change it! I wonder if they read the boards and then decided to change it. I wonder if the VIP tour will give you front of the line to all Haunt attractions, and maybe a daytime behind the scenes tour. That would be pretty cool. JAHill
Kings Island will NOT be closing at 6:00p and reopening at 7:00p on the days where Halloween Haunt occurs on Saturdays and Sundays this October. Does this mean they'll close early on the 2 nights in September?
The Interpreter
Thank heavens they came to their senses. A good decision has been made... If that was a trial balloon, they did good a really good job of listening . . . As for the "two nights" in September, the park is not open to the public prior to Haunt... http://mobile.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/schedule/ Hours: 7pm-1am.... (September 25 and 26, Friday and Saturday)
JAHill
I shouldn't have asked that. I was wondering if I would still have to exit the park at 6 on the 26th. Originally we were supposed to exit at 6pm and pay separately for Haunt then wait for the park to reopen. But since KI doesn't want to close for an hour before Haunt, I don't know if we will have to. The Interpreter
That will depend on what the company has purchased and what the park wants to do if the company did not also purchase Haunt....
Diamondback FOF
I think it would be very difficult to clear out the park, especially if that is a large company (like P&G, GE, etc.). Plus, I would think it would cause a lot of problems with trying to get people to exit, along with having a large crowd at the front gate.
