So what do you think they should do with Action Theater

Keep it. A short action adventure thing like a car race or a simulation of some sort. That would be great.

i think it would be neat if they kept it where it is and then bring back smash factory or another more comical simulator, just don't keep it around to where alot of people can resite it while the ride is going on.

Keep it and put in a longer movie. Kick out Urgent Scare and readd Side B.

I really like Action Theater, even though I'm getting slightly tired of Spongebob.I hope it doesn't get removed.

^Same here. I just wish CF would keep it up better- the autospiel worked for all of two days! Also, until it closed early (), the light fade-out effect stopped working and the lights just shut off.

I like Action Theater but I do miss Days of Thunder and 007,Heck 7th Portal was kinda cool.

I still liked when they had 2 different movies to choose from. and sorry Cedar Pointer... US isn't goin anywhere for awhile. and side 2 will most likely never come back, the screen, the seats, the hydrolics... all gone you don't think that maze is just a simple walk through do you? part of the levels to the "staduim seating" are still there tho. but only the top few.

Yeah but why would they? They just got rid of Side B not that long ago, they removed it for a reason, and that reason is Urgent Scare!

Side B was used as parts for Side A. Apparently nobody realized that the entire reason that AT looks like a ghost town is because they refuse to install a new movie. Sigh.

*sigh* side B won't be used again. It's all torn up inside. I guess I'll just have to take a pic of it during rehearsal for people. Side B will never run again without a complete and total overhaul/rebuild which i highly doubt they'll pay for since they won't even get a new movie

All of the Action Theaters are the same on the inside. Theoretically, the actual structure for CGA's could be moved. Will that happen? No, but we can hope. US could move. (Besides, KI seems to have no problem with keeping tacky prefab buildings, complete with grafitti, in plain guest view all year round...)

Yeah that would be perfect^. That could be where a new ride goes, such as a Ferris wheel. Or one of those swinging things - I forget what they're called (Skyhawk at Cedar Point).

I think Action Theater could be useful for another theater or maybe a cafeteria - even a conference center. It's a big building that could be full of things.

I don't know... It would be more economical to just shorten the midway, and leave Racer as the boundary between the midway and the woods. If they want to add new flat rides, there's plenty of extra (vacant) room on the midway already.

Actually, a new midway could go in place of the current AT queue, but the building could be kept in tact. AT rarely needs the whole queue...

I just thought of a great idea! What if Kings Island built a Themed dark ride in that building, redesigning the outside of the building to be a GIANT CASTLE. Complete with a drawbridge, and towers as high as Vortex, to DOMINATE the midway.

Anyone second on this?

Yes, but as a company, they do NOT build themed attractions. Look what they did to KBF.

I'm serious that's got to be the craziest thing ever. A dark ride themed as a castle as tall as Vortex? They would never do that. And I don't think they would if there was Flight of Fear right next to it. I'm not a fan of dark rides (other than FoF) and it wouldn't be good there, sorry - bad idea. But that's my opinion.

Disaster Transport IS a darkride. Whether or not you like how well themed it is, it's still a darkride.

Yes but it wasn't at first. They made it a dark ride because of a reason. The sand from the bay when it was open got onto the track, making the ride dangerous. So technically Cedar Fair still hasn't built a dark ride.

Oh, they themed it... then it all fell apart and they never fixed it, and what was left in the queue is gone now. Yup...
