My family and I don't know if we should go to CP or KI for Halloween. I like scary things, but too much of that "in your face" kind of terror creeps me out. Which one should we go to?

Both places have a lot to offer.Im sure the dont touch them and they wont touch you rule applies at both parks.

Unless they are hungry hahahahaha.Kidding.Go where you enjoy the rides but remember Kings Island has Diamondback and beast.

Just came back from Halloweekends. It's absolutely fantastic up there. The two new haunts this year are absolutely incredible. Trip report will be coming tonight. But I also really like KI's haunt. If you're only going to do one or the other, I would just do whichever is closer as they are both fantastic.

The 2 edges I give to CP over KI are the scare zones where you just walk through an area that's covered in fog and scare actors. Love being able to go through a 'Haunt' without having to wait. And the second thing I love are their Poe ghost stories in the little shack back by Snake River Falls. They have different actors sit and tell very intense versions of Poe stories. They're pretty fun to watch and the performers are usually really good. Wish KI would bring something in like that.

I think CP keeps the atmosphere more family friendly than KI with light-hearted monster rock in the backround such as The Monster Mash.

^^and the various shows, the parade, etc. that go on in the daytime. CP has a fantastic balance of haunted attractions for kids and adults.
