BoddaH1994
I love the whole atmosphere at Fear Fest. The haunted houses are really cool but to be honest, I just like being able to ride the rides in the middle of the night. I mean, come on, you guys have to admit that there's just something about The Beast at night. -Ryan
Return_of_Yogi
Being a swing usher last year I was given the opportunity to visit each attraction.... THE MAZE OF MADNESS..As a male it was'nt so bad. But the females got it hard by those guys.....very big flirts. I believe thats the one with the mirrors right? and the doctors? It was kinda hard to manuver through and i think the smoke got to me after a while but other than that it was pretty good. less incredible hulk makeup tho. Xx2cansamxX
Despite the LONG lines, I liked the one that was supposed to be like in a sewer or something. They were all good, but the lines were the scariest part of the experiene.
bingog34
What I really liked was the travelling scarers (like the ones with the knee pads)...I think if the park expanded those and made those more abundant, then the experience would be better...no waiting in lines to get scared! skatefanjeff
I love fear fest more than a normal day. The best is no lines for rides so you can ride them so many times. I agree with Boddah The Beast in the middle of the night is the best. I alos like the guys tha go around and scare people, the are great. As for the haunted houses the best was the one in the woods last year(they had the right idea, but it wasnt scary enough), I also liked the one they had two years ago, the one on the Eiffel Tower that one was real good too. RyanA
I've got a question, 2 seasons ago the woods trail, the Trail of Terror, had a blacktopped path, then last season, it was just dirt, did they really pull all that black top up? Or just clear a new trail around it? And yes, that wasn't very scary, though it definetly was one of the most atmospheric, though I thought Trail of Terror was better than the Psycho Path. But my favorite was The House of Darkness, it wasn't scary, but the theming was top notch, loved every second of it.

DragonLord
I've got a question, 2 seasons ago the woods trail, the Trail of Terror, had a blacktopped path, then last season, it was just dirt, did they really pull all that black top up? Or just clear a new trail around it? The blacktop path was only to the entrance of the trail. The trail itself is all dirt, it is in the woods after all. I do not remember the trail ever being on all blacktop... I have only been to the Maze of Madness and the Trail. I enjoyed both although I had to wait in a long line for each, hence the reason I only got to go in only two. One question about this year: are they going to charge for each house? How is the park going to make money this year on Fear Fest (other than cutting the hours) since they are letting season passes into Fear Fest?
Shman
As Dragon Lord said the blacktop was mostly just a the beginning of the trail....but there were a few other spots (Hills and incline/declines mostly) that were also paved. The added blacktoping was added for the electric wheelchairs that they allowed to travel through the trail. The blacktop helpped the chairs manuver the hills. As for Fearfest this year....I think that they are hoping that the free addmission will help bring in more people...who will then spend more in the park itself.....Having the park all open so I think that they are thinking that the games, food, and up-charge attractions will help bring in more money. Plus I have heard a lot of the plans that are in the works for this year...and I can tell you that I think there are going to be some good improvements/changes/ and additions this year. It should be a good time.
flatbed
I've never been to PKI during fear fest. Is it worth driving 3 1/2 hours? Can you still buy a 2 day admission?
RiSK
The only problem i see with this years fearfest is the fact that Gold Pass members get in for free. Its already pretty busy WITH making everyone pay admission. I may still go down, but im kinda sad about the fact that I, and thousands of others, get in for free
Mr. Fusion
I thought it was free for regular pass holders, not Gold.
BoddaH1994
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's free for all passholders. I agree that free Fearfest is a dumb idea. I went twice last year, the first week it was opened, and the 2nd last weekend. The first time was awsome, because no one was there. The park was eerie, and you could experience everything. The 2nd time I went, the park was over crowded and miserable. -Ryan
Dane
FearFest was the best time, the park looked good, and it has a nice felling to it. The fact that it was packed made it alittle less fun. But it was still the best time of the year. I will never forget looking at my watch infront of Flight of Fear, it was 2:06 AM.
coasterrz
It is my understanding that FearFest will occur on Saturdays and Sundays this year, gone is FearFest on Fridays. Also, the park won`t be open till 1 am anymore. Saturdays in October, the park will be open until midnight and Sundays the park will be open until 10. In the Gold Pass Perk Calendar, it said that FearFest was included in park admission, so I don`t know if that includes non-pass holders as well. I for one am glad that the park will be staying open to pass holders later than 7 on weekends in October like in past years.
Losing Streak
Dry Run night was awesome because it was employees and their guests only, and not many people chose to show up, so a lot of the attractions were walk ons. I liked that a lot more than when I came back during the real deal and had to wait in line, plus the people were a lot more enthusiastic and into it during Dry Run because they hadn't ever done it before. italianchef
Scooby, how come you don't like Fearfest? Ummm i hate Scary stuff...i hate being FRIGHTENED!....Iam big a chicken.... thanks for asking Actually you couldn't possibly be a chicken because you are of the male gender. Therefore, to be anatomically correct, you ought to describe yourself as a rooster. Sincerely, Professor Italian Chef
RyanA
I personally felt the first fearfest was the most dramatic, the military them was cool, and the entire park, or what was open to the public, was fogged. Also, my favorite fearfest attraction was open only that year, The Museum of Horrors. Though I heard many attractions kind of sucked that year though(I was too afraid to ride anything else aside from the freak show movie). I loved last years fearfest, but still felt it could've been better. So, what are some of these new ideas? And are they going to actually fog the entire place this time? upstop
Unless things change this year, its a separate admission. It is free for seasons pass holders this year. I know they are moving it to Saturday and Sunday, with a 1am closing on sat and a 10pm closing on Sunday. The last couple of years, you had to have a wristband to ride the rides or walk through the houses. Guest relations hinted that it might be included with admission, but I don't think it will be. Imagine the crowd if it is included with the one day admission, however, crowds are what they are looking for this year.
