Every year now, for many years, Cedar Point has had a very nice poster calendar. It went out to the media people, who then presumably remembered the company fondly as they wrote about it.

Until....now.

Calendars are becoming passé here in the age of instant communication. Maybe they're just going to send them electronically.wink.gif

Tony Clark posted (on another site) that they did not print them.

But don't worry, this merger isn't afftecting day to day operationsblink.gif

Hopefully it won't lead to less fun in their parks.

Yeah, now it might just be the fun and ONLY.

It really sucks when a company has to eliminate things that many have been used to for years to save money.

For instance, the company I work for has eliminated the annual summer family picnic for financial reasons.

...and some of these 'cost-saving' moves cost more than they save. How much will morale suffer because the picnic was dropped? How do you measure the difference in media coverage after certain nice things that were once given to media are eliminated?

And isn't it interesting all the little things that get cut while the perks for the higher ups are either not eliminated or even often are actually increased?
