Okay, so I haven't checked this forum for quite a few months and it looks like something happened and you closed it for some time over this season. So I've been looking around the forums trying to find a review of Delirium, probably were tons of them at the begining of the season, but I can't seem to find them now. So, I just want to know how is it? Are there long waits for it? Is it worth a long wait? Does the line move quickly? I ask this because I'll be going to the park for the first time this year on its last weekend of operation to the GP, so I just want to know what to expect. I'm assuming we'll probably try Scooby's new thing first since HB Land will be closing earlier because of Fear Fest. This will also be my first trip to Fear Fest since in the past I've never gone because I hated the idea of paying extra when I had a season pass. Anyone got any ratings on what's the scariest haunted attraction and whatnot? So a lot of firsts for me this November. I'm sure someone can enlighten me.

Thanks! smile.gif

Deliriun: How is it?

Delirium is a great ride. When you ride, there are feelings you can't explain. I loved my first ride and have since.

Are there long waits for it?

Not really, I'd say maybe 30 min top. It all depends on what day you go to the park and when during the day you plan on riding it. But since you're going during FearFest, I can't really help you on that since this year'll be my first time.

Is it worth a long wait?

Absolutely. cool.gif

Does the line move quickly?

Look at question #2.

Delirium is probabily one of my favorite rides in the park. As for the line, I have seen the entire queue full, and its about 30-45 minutes tops. Part of that, though, is that the crew rocks (GO SPARKY!!!!) Its worth the wait, especially if your little niece is watching you from the midway, and turns her back when it starts! That was priceless.

Delirium is definetly one of the best flats i have been on, so disorientating and amazing. The floating sensation at the top of each swing is awesome plus the spinning adds to it. Too bad i only got on it once, would've loved to get on it a few more times.

One cycle is just a little under one queue. So, if all the queues are full, it's like a 4-5 cycle wait..which is 35 mins or so. Worth every second of it. So unless the line is out of the entrance, you won't wait for more than an hour.

Watch for somthing new for this weekend biggrin.gif

Uhmm if your referring to my ride(Delirium) then don't expect nothing out of the ordinary.

Tom,

Thanks for the props but I wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for my co-sups and our crew. They deserve all the props in the world. I don't think they will ever know how much we, the supervisors, appreciate their hard work. I have the utmost respect for each and every one of them. I'm not looking forward to that first weekend in November. It will be a tough one, that's for sure....Ok here's where I rant...

You see folks, when you work with these people for forty to fifty hours a week you bond with them like nothing you have experienced. The sups become your "mom and dad" of sorts and with your fellow crew members being your siblings. Now not everyone will stay and sibilings to tend to disagree from time to time but in the end, it's that core group of people who will make it. Sadly, your "family" gets ripped apart that last weekend of November. So those complete strangers that I met on March 22(?) are now some of my closest friends.

I don't keep coming back to work at Kings Island just because the park enstills their trust on me to safely operate a multi-million dollar machine. I come back season after season to continue the friendships I have made in the past and start new ones with those complete strangers that I will meet every March. biggrin.gif

Well, next year I will be moving to tech services (if it works out), but rides operations will always be my home away from home.

I knew a couple of people on my crew going into this season, but those I didnt know I bonded to real quick. It hurts when certain circumstances make you lose a brother, especially one that was a very hard worker, a new person, and best friend. But those who are left, they are even more special to you from the experience. I have a feeling that my crew and I this year will be talking to each other for a long time to come.

i've waited an hour when the ride wasn't open (right after a storm and maintenence hadn't cleared it yet) but when it was open probably only 30 minutes and that was from the start of the last queue line thingy. it realy moves quick since it can hold so many at once but it takes forever for them to check the restraints wink.gif .
