Doesn't surprise me in the least. It's only a matter of time before almost every kind of business imaginable will capitalize on the social networking trend.

As they should if they want to stay in business.

As a fan of Tony and Tyler's blog on cedarpoint.com I love how they are marketing to the Facebook community. Social Networking is one of the easiest ways to stay in touch with the public. I am a user of both Facebook and Twitter and follow Cedar Point on both.

Good for them! I'm Glad to see they're embracing this type of technology...

Especially considering (according to a former employee's post on CB anyway) that CF management reportedly got rid of Paramount's Blackberries because they considered them "toys." ;)

Well, in his defense, Kinzel is admittedly an "operations guy," not a communications guy. ;)

I would hope not, and do not believe that to be true. Those both definitely go hand-in-hand.

I think what he said was he was an operations guy, not a finance guy...

This after years of being on analyst conference calls.

It was a swipe at his comment about "being an operations guy, not a finance guy."

Well, once upon a time old Terp was a media guy...more than once in his many careers, but now we speak too much...

Well, this "media guy" has always wanted to be a "design guy" (with the degree to prove it!), but, alas, I chose to be a "gainfully employed guy" rather than a "starving artist guy."

Although, if anyone has any set or lighting design needs...

Very true. Traveling to parks can be expensive. And it can be difficult to plan trips when you do not know how long your current job will last, or when you will be able to take a day off other than Saturday and Sunday. But that is a better option to have, than having no job whatsoever, or working the graveyard shift at a local Target store unloading the trucks.
