Oldiesmann
I'm sure all of these have been posted before (I know one of them has been posted several times), but since opening day is less than a week away, I thought it would be fun to post them again... First off, a nice promo video for The Bat: <param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">Next up, a three-part home movie of KI from the 1970s: <param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">And last but not least, our favorite classic KI video (well worth posting again): <param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">Feel free to add your own favorite classic KI videos to this topic

Oldiesmann
You're welcome If you pay close attention to one of those home movies, you'll notice that KI was at one time inhabited by no less than 3 dogs (Scooby, Hong Kong Phooey and Fleegle (from Banana Splits)). markr
I still remember when the Scooby Doo Coaster ( which many of you youngsters know as The Beastie, Fairly Odd Coaster.) was yellow.
Hank
I don't care what anyone says - I got to ride The Bat 3 times and it was a darn good ride, unlike the suspended coasters of today (including Flight Deck, Top Gun, or whatever they are calling it these days). I realize that The Bat was plagued with problems, but how those troubles were resolved left suspended coasters kinda blah. Seeing the home movies of the ride brought back many memories, but please note that when watching those films the items in the picture are moving a bit faster than "regular" speed - you can best notice this by watching the tree limbs blowing in the breeze and the people walking a bit quickly. Coney Islander
Great videos! Did The Bat have one chain lift, or two?

Make that four, counting Huckleberry Hound. Did The Bat have one chain lift, or two? It had two.

Jasper
I never got to experience the park as it was back that far. The farthest memory I have is going up on Lexmark Family Day in 1996, the year Outer Limits: Flight of Fear opened. Always nice to see a historical view of Kings Island, thank you for the videos! XGatorHead 8904
Which coaster/ride is shown starting around the 4 minute mark in the first "Old Kings Island" video? If you're talking about the ride shown in the video after the people eating and a quick shot of the Eiffel Tower, then that ride is Bayern Curve, which can be seen here. i miss when the park was inhabited by: a 5th dog by the name of astro And I knew I was missing another one. I kept trying to think of it before I posted the 4th dog, but couldn't remember. Thanks! And don't forget a certain purple dinosaur that acted like a dog! Delirium13
I think it would be nice and add to the park's overall atmosphere at night if they had more lights, like the ones shown on the loop of Vortex for example, along the tracks of certain rides. Not overkill but a tasteful amount, although some rides (Beast & Diamondback coming to mind) are best left dark (minus lift hills of course). Just some thoughts. Nice videos by the way! Oldiesmann
For those who can't get enough, I found The Banana Splits In Hocus Pocus Park on Youtube as well. While cheesy, it has some really clear shots of classic KI - amazing how much the park has changed over the years... <param'>http://www.youtube.com/p/B12A30A2278118BC&hl=en_US&fs=1">
